GOALS:
ROBYN RICHARDS- Finish rewrite on MS#1 and submit by end of Feb 2. Finish rewrite on MS#2 and submit by end of March.
ANN MOORECROFT- 3000 to 5000 words per week.
ANGEL MOORE- Complete 2nd Work in Progress by 3/28
TALINA PERKINS- Goal #1: write two novellas aimed for HQN's Nocturne Cravings line. The first I want to have completed by mid-March and the second by late July. Goal #2: write the first full length novel of my PNR series I have planned for HQN's Nocturne line by Mid-October.
SYNDI- Write Marketing plan in April
SHELLIEXHERE- To revise a novella I wrote last year and resubmit it by January 31.
MARGIE STEWART- To complete two new category mss and do more reading.
KARIESUE- Finish new RS by end of Summer
MS. L- 1. write and submit two novellas (currently thinking of submitting to Escape) 2. start and finish a second manuscript - either a revision of one I started last year or a completely new one by end of year
NANCY HARDY- My writing goals for 2013 include starting/finishing my "New Adult" novel that is the focus of a "Discovering Story Magic" class that I am starting tomorrow, and then I have one manuscript that I had submitted and had a partial requested (ultimately passed on) that I want to do some heavy revision on. Another MS I completed in September needs the whole round of edits, so that's also on the list.
MARION- Finish WIP LIS target novel by July 31st.
KXXX- My goal is to complete a manuscript ready for SYTYCW deadline
SHANAE- First Goal is to submit to KISS by end of April 2013, Second Goal is to finish a half written MS by June 2013
LOUISE- Revisions for Historical Undone
Pink and Glitter- 1. Finish edits on a YA by Feb 1, send off to betas, submit, etc. 2. Finish new KISS by April 1.

ELIZA FITZGERALD- 1. Finish and submit my contemporary romance MS 2. Finish and submit my first MS in fantasy/romance series. 3. Start second MS in fantasy/romance series. 4. Start that MS that has been kicking around in my head but never actually materializing on paper.
JOLLIFFE- 1.Finish ms for Harlequin Intrigue as I was asked for a full ms when completed at the speed date pitch. (1-2 months) 2. Set up my own website.(6months)
STEPHANIE SULLIVAN- 1. Complete my first series. As of right now, the goal is three novellas in the series. 2. Revise an old novella and submit it for republication.
SIREN81-#2 - Finish nocturne for SYTYCW
TRACEYR- 1. Write 5k at least per week. 2. STOP editing as I go along and rough draft first. 3. Sub my 2nd WIP to RIVA by June. 4. Edit and try to find a home for 1st R. 5. Stay positive and never chase a sub again (extra stress).
MOJO09226- - Write and submit two over 50K novels.

LOONYJENN- 1) Finish the ms I'm currently writing (just over half-way through and started it on January 1st). 2) Outline fourth ms and have completed by the end of the year.
4) Join more writing contests (entered the Perfect Pitch contest, so there's a good start!).
5) Continue to write despite a move half-way across the country that's coming up in less than a month
TRAVELKIM- #1 Write and polish my 100 word pitch, my synopsis and the first three chapters of my Love Inspired Historical for the Happily Editor After Pitch Contest. #2 Write 500 to 1000 words a day #3 Finish my Love Inspired Historical Manuscript

HUGH ANTHONY 1. Complete first Historical Novel, 75,000 words, by 30 June. 2. Complete sequel by 30 November. 3. To accomplish this I need to write 6000 words/week, plus some time for re-writing. So, 1200 words/day min., 5 days/week

I know what you must be thinking. Standing? Seriously? How hard can it possibly be to stand! Obviously you know how to stand, but there is a difference between "regular standing" and "proper standing".
MOST GUYS HAVE NO IDEA THAT THERE IS A PROPER WAY TO STAND WHEN APPROACHING WOMEN, AND THAT IS WHY THEY AREN'T ENJOYING MORE SUCCESS!
The first thing that you need to focus on when you are standing is how you are positioned. When you are approaching a girl, it is always much more effective to position yourself so that you are looking at her over your shoulder. This is much less intimidating than approaching a girl head on.
I want you to perform a quick experiment so that you can test this for yourself. The next time you are next hanging out with one of your friends, stand in front of him so that your body faces his directly and vice versa.
Notice how uncomfortable this is for the both of you. If he is not aware of what you are doing, then he will probably start turning his body so that he doesn't face you directly anymore.
You can take this experiment a step further by standing at a 90-degree angle to your friend so that you are positioned side on to him instead of head on. As you look over your shoulder and talk to him, see how close you can get to him before he starts to feel uncomfortable. You will probably be amazed by the results!
SO THE LESSON HERE IS VERY SIMPLE: WHEN YOU APPROACH A GIRL, ALWAYS POSITION YOUR BODY SO THAT YOU ARE AT AN ANGLE TO HER AND HAVE TO LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER TO SPEAK TO HER.

There is one other thing about your posture that you need to keep in mind when you approach a girl: always lean slightly away from her.
By leaning back, you will communicate to her on a subconscious level that she hasn't won you over just yet. When you lean in and move your body towards a girl, you will communicate that you are completely into her.
If you don't believe me, pay close attention to the interactions happening around you the next time that you are at a nightclub. Body language will tell you a lot about what is going on, even if you can't hear the words that are being spoken.
HOW TO GESTURE PROPERLY
One of the most common mistakes that a lot of guys make when approaching women is that they tend to be too stiff. In particular, they have no idea what to do with their hands and usually end up stuffing them into their pockets.
THAT'S A BIG MISTAKE, BECAUSE GESTURING IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL TOOLS IN YOUR NON-VERBAL ARSENAL!
There are two reasons why gesturing is so important. The first is fairly obvious: you can use gestures to get a girl's attention and direct it towards you. Something as simple as gesturing your hands in front of your face can immediately attract a girl's attention.
The second reason is much less obvious, but very important. With the right gestures, you can create opportunities for incidental touch. This is when you "accidentally" make physical contact with a girl so that she becomes comfortable with being touched by you without even being aware of it.
Another common mistake that a lot of guys make is that they avoid touching girls too soon in case they scare them off. But you should actually incorporate touch as soon as possible - preferably right from the moment that you approach a girl!

If you watch inexperienced guys try to approach girls, then you will notice that they all tend to have something in common: haste! They rush what they say in the hope that if they get it all out quickly enough then they won't be cut off and rejected on the spot.
Obviously this never works. When you rush what you are trying to say, all you end up doing is demonstrating that you lack confidence. That's not the only problem with talking too quickly. Whenever you approach a girl, it will usually take a second or two before she becomes aware that you are talking to her.
Have you ever been walking outside and had someone come up to you and try to sell you something? If so, then you have already experienced this phenomenon. There's that brief moment where you are disconnected from the other person and don't fully understand what they have said.
RUSHING AN APPROACH IS A ROOKIE MISTAKE AND ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO CORRECT!
Train yourself to have a red stop sign flash up in a mind whenever you walk up to a girl. This will remind you to slow down and pace yourself! Before you even open your mouth, try to get her attention by touching her or through eye contact.

You can take your pacing a step further by introducing pauses into your conversation. A lot of guys think that pauses are bad because they can produce awkward silences. But when you use pauses properly, you can build suspense.

Your brain interprets as if this were already so, there is no need to take any action. Your subconsious feels like you already have achieved that beautiful affirmation and you start to feel really good about it. So why would your subconscious be motivated to do anything?

I find that the further I progress the more motivated I have become. I know that my evil enemy procrastination is always out there with a cold beer or a glass of wine, ready to throw me into a pile of 'never going to happen' but my resolve is growing daily.
