Back in the early days of online dating, "Russian Mail Order Brides" and penpal services were very popular and most of the top sites had a good deal of Russian, Ukrainian women featured on their sites. The Soviet Union was still the Soviet Union and international profiles flooded most of the dating services online.
This is how the profiles made it to US websites. Companies like Kiss.com (previously known as Foreign Relations), A Foreign Affair and Cherry Blossoms had marriage agency contacts abroad in Russia, Eastern Europe, Philippines and South America. These agents had paper profile questionnaires that the women would fill out and then the agencies would mail a package of these applications with photos attached with paperclips to them of each of the applicants. Some of the women provided their own photos and most of them were professionally taken at the agency offices. Many of the women back then did not have email addresses so almost all of the correspondence was done via letters and phone calls so you can imagine the process. Customers on these websites would order the addresses or full contact information of the woman (around 12 a piece) and most of the services provided Russian (Cyrillic) address labels to put on envelopes to ensure delivery of letters.
Some sites like Kiss.com allowed customers to purchase full color copies of the original photos that were submitted for a charge of 5. Once the letters went back and forth a few times they would then plan to meet in person in the foreign country as this was a requirement for a "Fianc'ee" Visa" or K-1 visa to be accepted. This process could take months and years to finally get completed but I estimate that 1000s of women successfully married men in the US and around the world through these services.
"Mail Order Bride" is a dating niche that still isn't fully mainstream yet because people still have pre-conceptions that the women are just "Gold Diggers". Well if you have been to Russia or any of the former Soviet Union countries you will see that they are doing pretty well nowadays and actually the Bentley car dealership in Kiev, Ukraine sold more cars then the Beverly Hills Bentley shop last year.
Today, there are many Russian and Ukrainian dating sites online but only a few trusted businesses that have real profiles on them. Below is a list of the sites that we recommend using if you are looking for international dating and a woman from South America, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Estonia, Moldova, Poland or the Philippines.
Anastasia International - They have been around since 1993 and have offices here in the US and in Moscow, Russia. They offer romance tours and have 1,000s of new profiles updated monthly to their site.
Cherry Blossoms - Located in Hawaii, Cherry Blossoms is a trusted brand focused on international dating and mostly helping single men find partners in the Philippines and South American countries.
A Foreign Affair (www.loveme.com) - They were one of the first mail order bride sites online and have been running tours and their international dating service since 1995. They can help you with Fiance Visa applications and International Travel. They are also US based with offices in Phoenix, AZ.
Be prepared to be a little patient and ready to spend a great deal of money on travel and the paperwork that comes with this type of online dating. It can be an exciting experience for you and very fulfilling if you find your soul mate on the other side of the planet. Be weary of scams though. Never send money to anyone until you have met in person.
If you can read cyrillic Russian then here are a couple other popular Russian based dating services: Date.ru, Mamba.ru and Kiss.ru.

People seek dream interpretation to gain further knowledge about their past, forgotten experiences and emotional status. Since early 1900 century many psychotherapists have used this technique to help treat their patients. It is still commonly used today and has become a sort of fad. To interpret a dream you would first have to recall the dream, then certain events, symbols, colors that occurred would be used to make an interpretation. The problem with interpreting a dream is that there is no scientifically way to give meaning to dreams. For example a women might dream of a baby which could symbolize her past childhood or maybe her future in motherhood. We also don't always remember the full dream. So why are people certain that their dream is telling them something? Well, many people tend to listen to authority and when they seek a doctor for information they believe them, but what could be occurring is a false interpretation and in some case creating events that never took place. This false information can be destructive to a person. When looking into dream interpretation I pulled up a dictionary of dream terms on goggle. It is a way to analyze your own dreams. I think this is the best way for a person to look into the meaning of their dreams, but with the knowledge that there is no one answer to something you see in your dreams.
Get back with your ex
If you are in a relationship that is having trouble you may find yourself wondering if there is a right time to end a relationship. Just how do you know when to make that decision that there is no future for you and your partner? If you have spent months or even years with this person it can be a very difficult decision to end that relationship.
Some people will find that they still love their partner but they know deep down that the relationship is going nowhere and they don't have a future together. But when you still love a person you don't want to let that relationship go. You will consider all the options including staying with the person hoping that your love will be enough to save the relationship.
Click to get your ex back
There are other couples who think that their relationship is too difficult and just give up without really thinking it through and discovering whether there is a future or not. The problem with this is that often these couples are meant to be together and if they work at improving their relationship they could have a happy future together.
Then there are the people who are in a terrible relationship but they stay together and keep on trying to make it work. Their friends and family tell them they are wasting their time and they should break up but they continue in their failing relationship. Even when infidelity is involved, they stay together in the hope that the cheating partner won't do it again and everything will work out. In this scenario it is usually best to end the relationship but they just can't seem to make that decision and this is often because they are more scared of being alone than they are of staying in the relationship.
It can be very difficult to know when to end a relationship and you don't want to rush into making such a big decision. There are situations where it should be obvious such as an abusive relationship, but even in these cases many people still stay in the relationship. There is no excuse for abuse and if you are being abused then you should make that decision immediately to end the relationship. There are no second chances and there is no point telling yourself that it will get better because it rarely does in this type of situation.
If you're partner has cheated on you then it can be difficult to make the decision to leave. If he has only cheated once there is a good chance it may never happen again and you can work through it. If he has been cheating for a long time or has cheated on more than one occasion then it isn't likely that he'll change and you really should consider moving on.
There is no easy way to know the right time to end a relationship and it will all depend on each individual situation. Sometimes it is helpful to take a break for a couple of days on your own so you can clear your head and have a good think about the situation. Take a good look at the relationship and what has been happening and then decide whether this is the person you really want to spend the rest of your life with. Then you can decide whether the relationship is worth saving or whether you should end it now.

Psychology of the Sales ProfessionalBy Kurt Mortensen
A direct relationship exists between self-image and sales performance. If you don't already, try to get a handle on how your reps perceive themselves. What kind of self-talk plays in their brains all day long? You and your team will never experience exponential success if it is not something they can mentally conceive of first. And the major precursor to vivid envisioning of success in the workplace is vivid envisioning of success in oneself and one's abilities. How can you, as a sales manager, cultivate healthy, solid self-confidence and self-belief? One of the easiest ways to do so is to offer sincere praise. Ra1ph Waldo Emerson said, "Every man is entitled to be valued by his best moments." There is no need to fear that you will create an egomaniac by giving someone simple but honest praise and appreciation for good, hard work.
Often, it is more effective to praise the specific act rather than the person. This way, your praise is attached to something distinct and concrete. Praise is harder to be interpreted as flattery or favoritism when there is a specific and concrete thing being praised. General compliments may produce a temporary effect, but they can incite jealousy in others and create even more insecurity in the recipient if the specific activity that merited the compliment remains unknown. Then there is a new pressure to live up to this higher standard, even though the praised individual is not sure how s/he set it. Even more insecurity is bred if the praised individual fears you will retract your praise. That's because in not knowing concretely how s/he earned it, s/he doesn't know how to keep it. One single person feeling this kind of anxiety or insecurity can really cause your entire teambuilding effort to backfire. Have you ever witnessed (or experienced) coworkers who huddled together to complain after a "pep rally" with the boss? Instead of feeling inspired and motivated, all they could do was gripe. Unfortunately, it only takes one person's bad attitude to drag down the rest.
We know that when a specific behavior is praised, that behavior will increase. At a small college in Virginia, 24 students in a psychology course decided to see whether they could use compliments to change the way women on campus dressed. For a while, they complimented all the female students who were wearing blue. The percentage of the female student population wearing blue then rose from 25 percent to 38 percent. The researchers then switched to complimenting any woman who wore red. This shift in the color being praised caused the appearance of red on campus to double from 11 percent to 22 percent. Praise is a simple but often overlooked concept. If you want to use this technique to your best advantage, be sure you give honest and sincere praise.
Closely related to praise is acceptance. We all long for acceptance. We want to feel like our actions and contributions help an effort or cause. We all want to be noticed by others. We also all want to be someone of significance who is held in high regard. Knowledge of this common craving from acceptance can help you motivate your team. If you can make them feel that their help is appreciated, that they are personally accepted and that their contributions are essential, they will be more inspired to perform. When your team members feel accepted unconditionally, with no strings attached, their doubts, fears and inadequacies will go out the window. One way to make your team feel accepted is to offer them genuine thanks. Seek to make a conscientious and deliberate effort to thank people in all aspects of your professional life. Don't assume your team members know you care about and appreciate them. Don't make the mistake of thinking that a paycheck is thanks enough. One of the main reasons why people are dissatisfied with their sales job is because they are never thanked or given any recognition for their efforts.
Often, individuals increase their feelings of acceptance by building their association with certain people, places or things. This sense of identification has been referred to as the Social Identity Theory. For example, a sports fan may enhance his sense of belonging by plastering his walls with his favorite team's sports paraphernalia. Even though no one on that team has any clue who he is, he feels better about himself anyway, just because of the association and identity he has created for himself with that team.
Are there ways in which you can use the Social Identity Theory to your advantage? Think of ways to create strong team association. These methods should be things that are unique to the team and that help team members individually feel like they are "insiders." Maybe your team needs a mascot, a mission statement or even a theme song. I once knew a sales team that played the theme music from Rocky over the loud speaker every time someone closed a sale. Things like this might seem silly, but they really build team spirit and morale. If you worry that things like this will be distracting or disruptive to your particular workplace, look for ways to adapt. The energy that grows from each team member feeling accepted is worth the effort.
Goal setting is another powerful way of keeping sales psychology on the up-and-up. We all know that goals dictate future performance by giving team members a sense of purpose and direction. I can think of nothing less motivating than not knowing why I've been asked to do something. Instill in your team members what the end objective is and explain to them the necessary steps to get there. It is much easier to put forth the effort when we can answer who, what, where, when, why and how. Make sure your goals are realistic and attainable, but lofty enough that they are inspiring.
It is a general rule of thumb that greater or more difficult goals actually increase performance. The reason for this tendency is that loftier goals or objectives set higher expectations, and expectations in turn strongly influence behavior. The power of effective goal setting or setting a target can be seen in the following example: In a particular production plant, workers with little experience were divided into two groups. One group was told to simply observe the experienced workers and try to be able to perform at a skilled level themselves within twelve weeks. The second group received specific weekly goals that were progressively more and more demanding. Needless to say, the second group fared much better. Similarly, Yale University once conducted a striking twenty-year study that found that the 3 percent of students who put their goals in writing had significantly higher incomes than those who did not-in fact, higher incomes than the other 97 percent of students combined. From these examples, it is obvious that proper goal setting goes a long way toward promoting sound sales psychology amongst your team members.
Years of observation and study have produced personality profiles of what are considered to be outstanding salespeople. Perhaps the most recognized of these profiles is the model that was developed by Gallup Management Consulting Group. Gallup has spent more than two decades interviewing hundreds of thousands of top salespeople to help corporate clients form and develop their own sales teams. Its findings suggest that the top four qualities of top-tier producers are: 1) solid persuasion and closing skills; 2) self-motivation; 3) strong work ethic and 4) excellent people and relationship skills.
Why do I highlight these findings? It is likely that as a sales manager, you already look for these skills when you hire someone anyway. But how do you enhance these essential sales characteristics after your recruits are on board so that your team can become even better? My hope is that by giving you four key concentration areas, you can streamline your efforts into getting the greatest results with the most focused effort. When you are trying to draw out any one of these characteristics, or any characteristic for that matter, it is helpful to assess the kind of personalities you're dealing with. For some, a strong drive to close a sale exists just because they possess a need to "win." Whether that "win" translates into financial rewards, recognition, the glory of being at the top or whatever, some individuals just have an almost instinctive need to win. This need is compelling enough that they are not deterred by long hours, rejection or time away from their family.
For others, it is not just about winning in and of itself. Beyond that, some individuals have a competitive edge that relishes the defeat of others-even their own colleagues. Half of the victory for these types of people is seeing others left in the dust. I believe that some competition can be a good thing, but you've got to be on your toes to buffer this type of personality. If you think pitting your team members against each other might actually create unhealthy rivalries and negative feelings, then you've got to have a way to counteract those negative effects.
Next, there are those personalities who are very ego-driven. They aren't motivated by a need to conquer others. Rather, they want success solely for their own personal satisfaction. This is the type of person who is constantly out to beat her/his own previous records. In other words, these types of individuals compete with themselves. Moreover, they are very focused on being experts. While this competitive orientation has significant strong points, its main downside is that it is too self-focused-even in a well-intended way-and not conscious enough of the team element. The self-motivated person is the one you want to be sure you can draw into the team so you have the best that both approaches have to offer.
Then you have those individuals who seem to get the most satisfaction out of seeing their customers happy. They don't really have the burning desire to win or compete, but they are very much into relationship building. These people are naturally gifted at being empathetic, caring and good listeners. They are the ones who are much more inclined to stay in touch with clients after the sale has come and gone.
As you step back and evaluate what kind of team member mix you have, realize that no one is purely one temperament or another. We tend to be a combination of at least two of these different types of producers. However, we are usually dominated much more by one area than the others. Your job is to get a grip on what you have to work with and figure out how to make all the pieces of the puzzle fit together so your team solidly represents all of the best qualities of top sales producers.
In closing this section, I wanted to touch on the topic of working with a rep who has hit a plateau. Why? Because it's a very real obstacle that sometimes happens even to the very best. The most typical cause for a plateau is simply feeling burned out. In this case, a very obvious solution would be to lighten the stalled rep's responsibilities or even give her/him some time off. On the other hand, it may be that the rep is burned out with doing the "same old thing." If that's the case, simply changing her/his responsibilities would provide the necessary stimulation to get her/him moving again. New responsibilities could be things like training, forecasting or recruiting. Even performing the same tasks with new prospects or in a different community may alleviate boredom and present exciting, new challenges.
Sometimes it works to have reps come up with their own solutions. They may be more apt to pursue something they feel they've come up with on their own than something that is imposed. Furthermore, this way they really know what's at the heart of the issue and would, therefore, likely know the best remedy better than anyone else. Lastly, review the possibility of how bonuses and other forms of recognition might spur renewed motivation. This approach is especially effective when your team members' financial needs are already being met and they're looking for reward and acknowledgment in other forms. In the next section, we'll discuss what kinds of rewards and incentives work the best.

How To Flirt, and Have The Most "Wicked" (But Innocent) Fun With Any Man On The Planet, Even If You Have No Idea What To Say Or Do. How To Get Any Man's Attention - The Right Way!
Mimi Tanner's "Lifelong Flirting Online Class" With The Secrets Of Flirting and Getting The Attention of Your Man.
A special message from Mimi Tanner, author of "Hard to Get - Your Personal Guidebook on How To Play the Game of Love" and "Calling Men - What Every Woman Should Know About Calling and Emailing the Man You are Dating"
Dear Friend,
When you want to flirt with a man, do you know exactly what to say in ANY situation - words that are FUNNY, fun, alluring, and FLIRTATIOUS - all at the same time?
Do you honestly know how to flirt?
When you own my SECRETS OF FLIRTING WITH MEN program, you will get all the Flirting words you'll ever need. I've done all the thinking for you so you don't have to struggle for the right words - that's why women buy this program!
You'll also know how to act - and react - to men when you want to flirt with them. I've designed FLIRTING FORMULAS that will fit any situation, so you will know just what to do.
And what about those times when you just need an ALL-PURPOSE REACTION that can apply to a hundred different things the men in your life might do or say? I've got that covered too.
Flirting is what makes love exciting - whether you're married or single. The ability to flirt is the single most important lovelife skill that every woman needs to master. When you are a true Flirt at heart, you can have the lovelife of your dreams - for the rest of your life.
It's absolutely true, my friend. When you truly know how to flirt, you hold in your hands the key to the heart of that special man in your world - and of all the men who will WISH they were in your world.
In fact, you may find yourself in the enviable position of being able to choose between several men who are vying for the top place in your affections.
Have you ever known the consternation - but the secret thrill - of having two men arguing with each other because each man wanted the other guy to disappear, so he could have you all to himself?
I have.
I was dating two men at the same time - two entirely different but very interesting men. One was an artist; the other was a writer. Neither was famous but both were very talented.
One day they both appeared at my weekend place of work - which happened to be a public, outdoor place - at the same time. They both were already unhappily aware of each other's existence.
These two men glared at each other. Not longer after that, they began quietly but intensely arguing with each other in broad daylight, just a few feet away from where I was working. You could cut the tension in the air with a knife. They detested each other - only because they each wanted an exclusive claim on my affections. (I tried to get them to stop, but nothing I did helped.)
I never "wanted" two men to argue over me, and would never have chosen that situation. But I have to be honest - a part me was deeply flattered. It was quite a feeling to witness this event taking place and know that I was the reason for it. And I'm not a raving beauty or a supermodel - not even close!
Flirting Is What A Man Needs From You
More Than Anything Else
What caused two grown, civilized men to care enough about one woman to engage in a heated public debate? I think it's because I instinctively knew certain things about men that many other women don't know. Actually, instinct isn't the best explanation - I'd been studying this subject since my teens. Few things have ever interested me more than the subject of how a woman attracts a man.
When a person is passionately interested in a subject, he or she tends to become an expert on it. And over the years, I became something of an expert on what it takes for a woman to attract a man - and keep him attracted.
Flirting is very high on that list - the kind of flirting that can happen anywhere, any time - with someone you don't know, or with the man you've been married to for twenty years.
Flirting takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary. Flirting is what will cause a man to be devoted to you for the rest of his life.
Lots of women hold on to their men through sheer habit, obligation, manipulation, guilt, or a marriage license and children. Men in this kind of set-up aren't really happy, and aren't really living.
What a man wants more than anything in his heart of hearts is a woman who knows how to flirt with him - whether he just met her, or whether she's the woman he wakes up next to every morning of his life.
If you don't know how to flirt, you can easily apply these insider secrets - yes, even if you consider yourself to be shy.
And you'll NEVER RUN OUT OF MEN - if you take my complete program to heart. If one romance ends, you can relax - because as a Flirt, you will have a new romance in your life any time you desire one.
Life Without Flirting...Is Just Existing!
It's tragic, really, that many people go through life without ever knowing the heart-racing thrill of a flirtatious encounter.
Think back for a moment - don't those times when you actually did find yourself in a flirting situation stand out in your mind, to be remembered by you forever?
I'll never forget the FIRST TIME a guy flirted with me - I was only twelve and so was he. We were in a small group piano class. This boy, whose name was Joe, kept grabbing my desk (while I was sitting in it) and yanking it right next to his when the teacher wasn't looking. Over and over again.
I stared at him in disbelief and continued pulling my desk back to where it was supposed to be. I thought he had lost his mind. He kept on pulling my desk next to his and I kept on pulling it back. Finally he looked at me with a sly smile, and said, "You're blushing."
I'll never forget how I felt after he said that. Let's just say that my eyes were opened - and not only to the fact that he was telling me he liked me. That was the moment I first discovered the power of a flirtatious encounter. I don't think I've been the same since!
I know that YOU TOO can look back and remember MANY TIMES when flirting has made your heart beat faster!
Let's face it, getting the attention of any man can sometimes be tough (especially getting the right kind of attention)!
There's no doubt, the thought of flirting can be scary for many people - terrifying, in fact - but it's something like a roller coaster ride, isn't it - it can be tremendously thrilling, and can provide some of the most cherished and memorable moments in your entire life. In fact, it's the secret of all truly exciting encounters between a man and a woman!
Of course, some people erroneously think that you can do fine without an understanding of flirting. WRONG! Just take a look at their results. Really now - how many women do you know who have the man of their dreams who are NOT natural flirts at heart? How many truly exciting relationships do not have FLIRTING at their core?
However, the big problem is most books on this subject are filled with unrealistic scenarios, not to mention a few things that many women do NOT want to do - such as prowl for men in seedy bars! Many of these books were actually written by MEN, who know what they think they want, but who don't have the true knowledge of a successful "femme fatale."
Since my earliest teens, I've been devouring every bit of information there is to find on the subject of male-female relationships - and, over the years, adding my own unique observations, wisdom, and experiences. I know I can show you everything you need to know about flirting - in a fun, interesting, and entertaining way.
No matter what your age, you CAN flirt. What's more, men
love it! And they will love "you" for flirting with them.

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP: WORKING ACROSS BORDERS
NANO TOOLS FOR LEADERS(R) are fast, effective leadership tools that you can learn and start using in less than 15 minutes - with the potential to significantly impact your success as a leader and the engagement and productivity of the people you lead.
CONTRIBUTOR: Mario Moussa, Learning Director of Wharton's "Strategic Persuasion Workshop", and co-author (with G. Richard Shell) of "The Art of Woo:Using Strategic Persuasion to Sell Your Ideas "(Portfolio/Penguin, 2007).
THE GOAL:
Enhance your effectiveness in working across global borders.
NANO TOOL:
As companies extend their global reach, managers must stretch their abilities to communicate and collaborate across borders. Both the stakes and the failure rate are high: research shows that over 40 of executives who were previously successful in their home countries have trouble adapting in unfamiliar cultural settings. The basic difficulty lies in a lack of mental agility. Those who succeed are open to learning new ways of communicating, navigating social encounters, and building relationships.
Applying his research on communication in complex social settings, Dr. Moussa has created a process for developing a "global mindset." The process starts with a fundamental question: "What kind of border is most important in my situation?"
A common mistake is to assume that cultural borders matter most. But often it is other "borders" that present tougher challenges - conflicting corporate agendas, divergent functional backgrounds, clashing psychological styles, and other differences lurk beneath situations at work. For example, conflicts between an American CFO and her Chinese marketing colleague might have less to do with their cultural backgrounds than with their misaligned functional orientations. By enhancing your awareness of different borders and taking active steps to cross them, you will become a more effective leader.
HOW COMPANIES USE IT:
* CROSSING THE CULTURAL BORDER. When Yang Yuanqing became the CEO of Lenovo in 2005, he recognized that his limited knowledge of Western customs presented a significant barrier to his effectiveness. Not only did he hire a tutor to improve his English, but he became a round-the-clock viewer of CNN. In less than a year, he succeeded in crossing a daunting cultural border. He achieved both linguistic and social fluency and became adept at managing relationships with Western colleagues, shareholders, and politicians.
* CROSSING THE FUNCTIONAL BORDER. Fortune singled out Susan Lyne as one of the most powerful women in business. The chairwoman of Gilt Groupe, a leading e-commerce site, has made a career of crossing functional borders, moving from magazine editing to television programming to online retailing. Lyne's intellectual curiosity and psychological flexibility enabled her to keep moving up as massive technological shifts reshaped the global business environment. One secret to her success - she asks questions about unfamiliar functional details, looking for those "catch phrases" that help build credibility.
* CROSSING THE PSYCHOLOGICAL BORDER. Tim Cook stepped into the top job at Apple when Steve Jobs passed away in late 2011. As COO, Cook had already demonstrated his ability to manage operations across the globe. In his new role, he had to cross the psychological "border." Cook remembers a piece of practical advice that Jobs offered in one of their final conversations: never ask what he (Jobs) would do, but "just do what's right." Much more reserved than the mercurial Jobs, Cook had to establish his own distinctive authority as CEO, remaining true to his distinctive personality and values. To succeed at the psychological border, you have to be flexible, but you also have to know your own mind.
* CROSSING THE POLITICAL BORDER. The HP board turned to Meg Whitman when German CEO Leo Apotheker exited the company after a series of communication snafus. In addition to bringing greater discipline to executing strategy, Whitman began applying her considerable skills at the political "border," aligning a fractious board behind a clear direction, building trust with skeptical investors, and calming the nerves of anxious employees. Her effectiveness as a communicator depends on avoiding bland generalities and taking time to craft messages about the right specifics for each audience.
* See the ADDITIONAL RESOURCES links below for more examples and research findings.
ACTION STEPS:
* Identify the most important border you need to cross in your current situation: cultural, functional, psychological, or political (in the sense of corporate agendas). Use the following questions to determine the border at which you are standing:
* Do you wonder whether to shake hands or bow, dive into business or start with a personal conversation, or how to handle similar issues related to social norms? If so, you are at the cultural border, and should do some research on local customs.
* Does your lack of technical knowledge keep you from participating in important meetings? If so, you need help crossing the functional border. In this case, learn enough about a field to be credible when discussing it.
* Do your colleagues have very different personality styles from yours? If so, you need to pay attention to the psychological border. Introverts may need to amp up their energy, while extroverts must often take it down a few notches.
* Are opposing corporate agendas causing conflict? If so, you have some work to do at the political border. Put on your negotiator's hat and look for creative solutions that balance outcomes and relationships.
* Once you have identified the critical border, target the adaptation or focus you need in your behavior or communication style. Depending on your situation, you may need to be talkative or act in a more subdued way, focus on what you know best or learn a new field, speak your mind or build coalitions behind the scenes. It can be useful to rely on a mentor or other resources, such as 360 feedback, to help you see your blind spots and plan your learning agenda.
* Take small, observable steps, with the goal of achieving a sense of being in tune with your social surroundings. As the great English novelist E.M. Forster said, "Always connect."
* Assess your effectiveness and make changes where needed. Ask yourself, as Jeffrey Immelt does, "What are three things I did yesterday that I could have done better?"

At its heart, Take The Lead's #25not95 campaign is about action and solutions. If we're going to get to leadership parity by 2025-70 years ahead of the World Economic Forum's current predictions-we need concrete steps we can take right away to start working towards our goal. And we need a clear vision to guide us.
In the spirit of #25not95, we asked leaders across all sectors: WHAT IS ONE THING WE CAN DO NOW THAT WILL HELP US REACH LEADERSHIP PARITY BY 2025? Their responses are below.
We can disrupt the status quo by making women visible and powerful in media and thereby more visible and powerful in society.
- JULIE BURTON, PRESIDENT, THE WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER
One thing we can do now is to thoughtfully design high-quality, inclusive institutions of higher learning that provide meaningful opportunities for all individuals to maximize their knowledge and leadership abilities.
- MICHAEL CROW, PRESIDENT, ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
We need to encourage women and men to work together towards equality.
- SHERYL SANDBERG, COO, FACEBOOK, FOUNDER & BOARD CHAIR, LEAN IN
We can lead by example-for instance, never again say, "It's probably only me, but"
- GLORIA STEINEM, WRITER, LECTURER, EDITOR, FEMINIST ACTIVIST
We can pull each other up. Actively seek out opportunities to propel women into positions of leadership. Encourage rather than question leadership abilities.
- STACEY GORDON, CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS, CAREER INCUBATOR
One thing we can do now that will help us reach leadership parity by 2025 is collaborate to accelerate today's unprecedented momentum for modern feminism. The 4th wave is happening now. Step on the gas pedal!
- CLAUDIA CHAN, WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT EXPERT & CEO, S.H.E. GLOBL MEDIA
One thing we can do now that will help us reach leadership parity by 2025 is supporting and advocating for each other.
- VERNA MYERS, CULTURAL INNOVATOR, INCLUSION SPECIALIST, AUTHOR, SPEAKER, VERNA MYERS CONSULTING GROUP
We can involve men. If men understand the importance of modern leadership skills like humility, collaboration, empathy, and compassion (as detailed in my book, "The Athena Doctrine"), they can see how having more women leaders is a business imperative.
- JOHN GERZEMA, CHAIRMAN & CEO, BAV CONSULTING
To help us reach leadership parity by 2025, we can either take on a leadership role directly or encourage and inspire others to do so. It's time to walk the walk.
- SYBIL VERCH, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT and everywhere, we can give girls and young women laptops brimming with math and science software.
- CAROL JENKINS, WRITER, FORMER FOUNDING PRESIDENT OF THE WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER, FORMER TELEVISION ANCHOR AND REPORTER
The one thing that you can do now that will help us reach leadership parity by 2025 is to get everyone within your organization on board with the importance of the goal and committed to actively achieving it. This is not a woman's issue; this is a business imperative.
- JANET RICCIO, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, OMNICOM GROUP
We can set hard targets that have penalties if we do not meet them. I realize that "quotas" are a non-starter as a reform, so let's make them a punishment: failure to achieve 30% women on boards by 2025 will result in a requirement that the company have 40% by 2030 or face penalties. When companies complain that the pipeline is too bare, then institute the "Women on Boards" policy that Australia has implemented to expand the pipeline. Waiting for the pool to grow won't cut it.
- MICHAEL KIMMEL, SUNY DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR OF SOCIOLOGY AND GENDER STUDIES, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF MEN AND MASCULINITIES
We can encourage all our female colleagues to reach for middle and senior leadership positions. Change will only happen if women commit to excelling in their individual careers.
- ELYSE MEYER, FOUNDER, PRISM GLOBAL MARKETING SOLUTIONS
We can elect more progressive women to public office-starting with the first woman president in 2016.
- CHRIS JAHNKE, SPEECH COACH & AUTHOR, THE WELL-SPOKEN WOMAN
One thing we can do is not just mentor our fellow ladies, but also sponsor them. Every year, we hold a conference of over 350 ambitious undergraduate women, looking for their first break. It's not enough to passively help each other-we must take active steps to boost one another to the top!
- CHARLOTTE LI, PRESIDENT, COLUMBIA WOMEN'S BUSINESS SOCIETY
We can spotlight achievements of today's many superstar women, encourage female students to lead, and support young leaders.
- BARBARA BARRETT, FORMER U.S. AMBASSADOR TO FINLAND
We can have empowered women serve as role models to young girls to help them discover their own transformative abilities, recognize their own strengths, and see their potential evolve to accomplishment.
- MAY ADVINCULA, NATIONAL PRESIDENT, DELTA PHI LAMBDA SORORITY, INC.
One thing we can do now that will help us reach leadership equality by 2025 is make a pledge to be actively mentoring at least one woman at all times.
- MARY BOONE, PRESIDENT, BOONE ASSOCIATES
Women may not have all the power and money they deserve, but they have enough to make things happen for each other. Invest your expertise, your ability to open doors, and your money in helping women entrepreneurs succeed. It will have a ripple impact on achieving parity in every sector.
- GERI STENGEL, PRESIDENT, VENTURENEER
We can do what women do best-collaborate across organizations so that we can reach the critical mass necessary to change the world.
- AMY LITZENBERGER, CO-FOUNDER, TAKE THE LEAD
We can ensure that pertinent legislation already in place is enforced and ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.
- THERESA L. DOLAN, PRESIDENT, ARIZONA BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL WOMEN
What we can do right now is to inspire women to lead. We must network, educate, and unite to motivate one another. As Eleanor Roosevelt put it so perfectly, "In numbers there is strength," and when women come together we are unstoppable!
- JENNIFER SILVA, WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT COACH, JENNIFER SILVA COACHING
You can give your voice to leadership parity.
- DEBORAH BATEMAN, VICE CHAIRMAN, NATIONAL BANK OF ARIZONA
We can speak to men at an emotional level, not only with a company-bottom-line perspective. Help men understand how they can help. Once they appreciate the personal success parity would bring to them via their daughters and wives and mothers, they will be fully invested in making leadership equality happen by 2025.
- DEBORAH GOLDSTEIN, FOUNDER, WOMEN'S ADVANCEMENT COMPACT
One thing you can do is recognize the need for, and value of, voices and experiences that are entirely different from yours as the way to find true success.

When you're seeing a professional hypnotherapist, they would likely suggest you hypnosis methods that would suit their client personality types. If the hypnotherapist is a good one, they will be able to tailor your session so that you'll have maximum benefit from the hypnotic suggestion you received.
Even though it's not that urgent for the patient to know what hypnosis technique the therapist used on them, but if you're a hypnosis patient with a huge intellectual interest on hypnosis, then I'll overview the different styles of hypnosis methods a hypnotherapist commonly uses.
The most commonly used hypnotherapy technique is the conversational hypnosis. The therapist is likely to begin the session by using soothing and gentle tone while normally conversing with you. The conversation will guided into many situation and imagery that stimulate a relaxed or trance state on the patient before giving out their suggestion, to develop a positive attitude for example.
Some hypnotherapist may prefer their client to do some visualization to have reach the trance condition and their positive hypnotic suggestion as well. This "visualize-your-desire" technique is similar with the mental rehearsal technique that stimulate your capability to do the visualized condition by utilizing your subconscious power.
One of the method of hypnosis frequently used nowadays is the NLP hypnosys. This NLP technique may not looked like the common hypnosis therapy you've seen so far, but NLP method also tap into the power of your subconscious mind to bring positive result into your real physical life. The NLP session you'll receive might involve role-play, the well known meta mirror technique, or using perceptual position model etc.
Hypnosis science is vast, and its styles is not limited to what I describe here, since every hypnotherapist might be developing their own styles that they feel work best with their client. I hope this hypnosis article can give you some view over hypnosis practice.
More than any other art, classical ballet makes gender its problem. The focus is obvious but subtle. Almost every class is two-thirds female and the hallways of a ballet school are always disproportionately pink. But ballet also curates a vision of femininity as the very ideal of its practice. The vision is manifest not only in the old, narrative productions of the nineteenth century-like "The Nutcracker, "or "Swan Lake", or "Giselle"-full of the tiaras and tulle that women wear, but also in the newer, abstract pieces of the twentieth century and after, where dancers shuck off fairy-tale stories and make abstract shapes in nothing more than leotards. In all of these, women are the furthest extension of the classical ballet idiom, literally and figuratively. It's women who rise up to their toes en pointe, women who unfurl their legs to that height around the ears, women who do the thirty-two fouett'es. Women who are lifted up to make gravity-eluding shapes in the air. The "pas de deux", a male-female dance at the core of classical technique (partnering is usually the last class added to a dancer's training), remains a vision of heterosexual relations that exchanges support for lift, ballast for flexibility, power for finesse. Men are in control; women are on display. Ballet stages gender with every step.
Ballet has always known, that is, that gender is performance. It's easy to assume or even to dismiss the word-performance-when it comes at you in a theory of culture. In ballet, it comes at you with the power of art. Femininity is something to be perfected and made beautiful. A hard, endless, noble kind of work. That's why ballet can seem, to the young women practicing it-to me, for example-like an honest and subtle thing, even if its artifice is obvious-more than obvious, pretty embarrassing, really-and its relevance waning. Here's the ideal, it says. Here's the effort. Here's the distance between the two.
"You have to fall in love with the discipline": that's how Wendy Whelan puts it.
Whelan was until October probably the greatest female ballet dancer working in America. Six weeks ago she gave her last performance with New York City Ballet, the company where she danced for thirty years. I saw that final show. I probably also saw her first, since I grew up with the New York City Ballet and for some time lived close enough to go to most season openers.

Did you know that there is a typical approach that coaches use when they decide that they want to market their coaching practice and begin to attract clients? Its so common that it no longer surprises me when a coach lets me know of their future plans to attract the clients they desire.Unfortunately, this approach is pretty inept and leads to little in the way of results apart from giving the aforementioned coach a lot of frustration. So what is it? Well - it goes something like this and I usually receive an e-mail enquiry along the following lines:
Hi Shaun,Ive just launched my life coaching practice and have produced a leaflet describing my life coaching services. Ive been placing my leaflets in Doctors surgeries and the local library and Ive put a poster up in the local gym too. However, Ive not received a single enquiry yet. What can I do?Best wishes,Josephine Bloggs (a frustrated Life Coach)
Please dont blush if the above approach describes your current or past client-attracting strategy - it is pretty typical. Ill even admit to using it myself when I started my coaching practice in August 2000. It is also unlikely to build the successful coaching practice you deserve. The above approach has many weaknesses - namely:
1. Its passive - After youve dropped the leaflets on the table or put the poster up on the discussion board you think that youre almost done. Also the control of the process is now out of your hands. So you sit waiting for a response. 2. Its unfocused - With this approach youre trying to contact a very wide audience and hope to attract anybody and everybody. Unfortunately, the opposite occurs as you often attract nobody. This is the spray and pray method of attracting clients which doesnt work too well. 3. Its in reverse - The order of the process is mixed up. Instead of finding a market and discovering what they want, youre trying to take a pre-conceived idea to a market youre most likely unclear upon what they want in the first place. Do you know who youre targeting and what they want? 4. Its too much, too soon - Here the emphasis is on moving into activity before having a well thought-out strategy for attracting clients. Activity without strategy is often ineffective. 5. Its pervasive - A lot of other coaches are using this well worn approach. Why would someone choose your leaflet or respond to your poster in particular? 6. Its ineffective - The above approach typically yields little in the way of results if any at all.
So what can you do?Well, its really a case of taking the points above and doing the exact opposite. So:
1. Get active - Choose methods that leave you in control and keep you actively in the game of being in contact with potential clients. 2. Get focused - Focus your efforts on a specific target market and deliver a relevant message that speaks to them. 3. Get in order - Do some research and find a market with an existing need first and then sculpt your coaching service to meet a pre-existing need. 4. Get a strategy - Take the time to develop an effective plan for attracting clients into your coaching practice and then get into the activity phase.

NLP is an acronym for Neuro Linguist Programming. In the simplest form, NLP is a type of brain software that programs a person's way of thinking. An NLP practitioner studies the ways a human thinks and attempt to clear all the phobias, dogmas and unwarranted beliefs that the person had hitherto been living with. The technique controls a person's neurological thought process.
NLP is a rich technique. From improving family relationships to enhancing career, NLP can help a great deal! The programming style also helps people to recover from traumas, phobias and terminal illnesses. Ask people who have benefited from NLP techniques and they will explain better as to how effective the technique is.
The credit of NLP goes to two wondrous minds- Richard Bandler and John Grinder. The two great men came up with this interesting and powerful technique way back in 1970s. Since then there has been a great change in the way this explicit tool has been used to program behavioral patterns, communication, motivation and memory. The technique has evolved into a much comprehendable and beneficial one. NLP hypnosis still remains to be a mysterious science for many. As a matter of fact, hypnosis came much before the actual NLP techniques. NLP hypnosis or hypnotherapy has been successful in maintaining an even popularity ever since its inception. The synthesis of NLP and NLP hypnosis makes for an interesting study. A person can become an expert in hypnosis with the help of neuro linguistic programming.
Mr. Richard and Mr. John developed a ground-breaking tool that includes 3 core areas- Neurology, linguists and computer science. The duo also worked on a book "The Structure of Magic" which was published in 1975. Very soon they began NLP courses to teach common people on how to benefit from NLP. On the whole, NLP training seeks to provide a deep insight into the way a human operates. It helps to understand as to what effect does communication (both verbal and non verbal) has on the human mind. Basically, the technique is an in-depth linguistic programming of a person's thought processes. It helps to extricate and replicate the behavioral patterns of an individual. The technique not only helps to model another person's thinking but also aids a person to win over self-limiting patterns. Better known as "modeling excellence", neuro linguist programming (NLP) is a diagnostic technique. It cannot be understood theoretically. It can be understood experimentally only.
NLP is a booming business today. The industry is teeming with NLP training practitioners, NLP coaching trainers, NLP courses and NLP master mentors. The high-end advantages of the technique help to draw people towards this wondrous mind technique. Some institutes also offer free NLP online coaching. An interested person may hunt for such free NLP training programs to boost one's confidence and interaction skills. There are many Los Angeles NLP online training programs that offer free NLP tutorials. Free NLP downloads and eBooks help a person to master the science of NLP without spending a fortune on otherwise expensive NLP courses.

"WHAT'S NORMAL IN A PROFOUNDLY ABNORMAL SOCIETY?"
by James Quinn
"I consider myself a seeker of truth. It isn't easy finding it in todays' world. In an alternate version of the famous scene from "A Few Good Men," I picture myself telling Turbo Tax Timmy Geithner that I want the truth and his angry truthful response: "Son, we live in a world that has Wall Street banks, and those banks have to be guarded by puppet politicians in Washington D.C. with lobbyist written laws and Madison Avenue PR maggots with media propaganda. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Representative Paul? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the average middle class American family, and you curse the ruling oligarchs. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the death of the American middle class, while tragic, probably saved the bonuses of thousands of Wall Street bankers. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, increases the wealth of these same bankers who destroyed the worldwide economic system in 2008. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in the food bank line, you want me on Wall Street, you need me on Wall Street. We use words like derivative, fiscal stimulus, quantitative easing. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent syphoning off the wealth of the nation. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very debt that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up 1000 shares of Apple, and hope our high frequency trading supercomputers can ramp the market for a while longer. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."
I find myself more amazed than ever at the ability of those in power to lie, misinform and obfuscate the truth, while millions of Americans willfully choose to be ignorant of the truth and yearn to be misled. It's a match made in heaven. Acknowledging the truth of our society's descent from a country of hard working, self-reliant, charitable, civic minded citizens into the abyss of entitled, dependent, greedy, materialistic consumers is unacceptable to the slave owners and the slaves. We can't handle the truth because that would require critical thought, hard choices, sacrifice, and dealing with the reality of an unsustainable economic and societal model. It's much easier to believe the big lies that allow us to sleep at night. The concept of lying to the masses and using propaganda techniques to manipulate and form public opinion really took hold in the 1920s and have been perfected by the powerful ruling elite that control the reins of finance, government and mass media.
"The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does." They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted." - Aldous Huxley, "Brave New World Revisited"
We are all liars. We lie to friends, family and co-workers. We convince ourselves they are only small lies and just protect others from being hurt. We would rather be lied to than face the blunt truth about our deficiencies, shortcomings and failures. Willfully believing mistruths allows a person to become dependent upon those promulgating the mistruths. It relieves them of their responsibility to act upon the knowledge that something is wrong and must be fixed. It is a cowardly path to ultimate servitude and destruction. The German people chose this path in the 1930s and the American people have chosen a similar and ultimately destructive path today. The United States Office of Strategic Services prepared a psychological profile report during the war describing Adolf Hitler's method for controlling the minds of the German masses: "His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."
America's corruptible politicians, greedy corporate chieftains, criminal banking overlords, and despicable media manipulators all learned the sordid lessons of mass propaganda from the masters. Our willingness to lie and be lied to set us up to be manipulated by those who understood the mass psychology of a nation. Goebbels and Hitler were heavily influenced by the father of propaganda - Edward Bernays. He and his disciples are professional poisoners of the public mind, exploiters of public foolishness and ignorance, and never allow truth to interfere with a good story. What master manipulators realized is that it is easier to change the attitude of millions than the attitude of one man. By analyzing and understanding the process and motives of how the group mind works, the invisible government has been able to manipulate and regulate the masses according to their will without the masses knowing they are being managed. Bernays described this elitist view of the world in 1928:
"Those who manipulate the unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. In almost every act of our lives whether in the sphere of politics or business in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind." - Edward Bernays, "Propaganda"
The super-rich elite believe they are more intelligent, more capable of managing the affairs of state, masters of the financial world, and chosen to decide what is best for the masses. In reality, they are egocentric, psychotic, power hungry, myopic, self-serving ravenous vultures, feasting upon the carcass of a once great nation. Truth is inconsequential and irritating to their plans for world domination and control. Therefore, no truth will be forthcoming from any organization or person that is associated with the existing political, economic, financial or social order. Every bit of information that is permitted into the public realm has been vetted, manipulated and spun for public consumption. The public does not like bad news. They do not like hard facts. They do not like to think or do math. They want to be spoon fed mindless sound bites and happy talk. The oligarchs need to keep the masses sedated and subservient while they continue to plunder and pillage, so all data is massaged to provide a happy ending.
This is where I deviate from the ideologue one-trick ponies that refuse to see both sides of the issue. The ruling oligarchs are wealthy, influential, psychotic, amoral, and few. The masses are relatively poor, easily influenced, willfully ignorant, and many. The ruling oligarchs are most certainly evil, but the masses are not the hard working, stoic, downtrodden portrayed by liberal ideologues. One just needs to walk down the street in one of our urban enclaves, saunter through a suburban mall, or click on People of Wal-Mart to witness the tattooed, pierced, butt crack showing, slovenly, obese, and ignorant, attached to their electronic iGadgets, to understand how far our society has deteriorated. Every individual born into this world has the capability to become educated, think critically, not follow the herd, live beneath their means, and not be influenced by propaganda. Aldous Huxley understood in 1931 that those in power could use material goods to invoke passivity and egotism among the populace. He feared that truth would be obscured by an avalanche of irrelevance (500 Reality TV shows), cultural trivialities (Lady Gaga, Lindsey Lohan), distractions (Professional sports), and pharmaceutical enhanced escape (Prozac). He saw the possibility that we would grow to love our servitude as the pleasures of life provided by our controllers overwhelmed any desire to think or question authority.
No sane person could honestly say that what has happened to our society over the last forty years, and particularly in the last five years, is normal. But somehow those in power have convinced the masses that 1.2 trillion deficits, 0% interest rates, declining real wages, the highest average gas prices in history, pre-emptive wars, policing the world and buying rubber dog shit produced in China with a credit card is normal and beneficial to our economy. It seems that I and a few million other people in this country are the abnormal ones. We choose not to be led to slaughter by our masters. The seekers of truth have turned to the alternative media and are able to connect with like-minded critical thinking individuals on websites like Zero Hedge, Jesse's Americain Caf'e, Of Two Minds, Mish, among many other truth seeking blogs. This is dangerous to the powers that be and they are using their political clout and extreme wealth to try and lock down and control free speech on the internet. If this is accomplished all hope at disseminating truth will be lost.
Abraham Lincoln once said that he believed in the people and that if you told them the truth and gave them the cold hard facts they would meet any crisis. That may have been true in 1860, but not today. The cold hard facts are available for all to see:
* A 16.3 trillion National Debt
* 47 million people on food stamps
* Over 222 trillion of unfunded Federal entitlement liabilities
* Over 50 trillion of unfunded State entitlement liabilities
* True unemployment above 20%.
* True inflation above 5%.
* A stock market at the same level as 1999, with a 10 year expected annual return of less than 4% - Stocks for the really, really long run. 10 year bond returns of 0% will be a miracle.
* A savings rate of 3.7% and with Bernanke's ZIRP, no incentive to save. Real hourly earnings continue to fall.
* Baby Boomers within 10 years of retirement have saved an average of only 78,000, and more than a third of them have less than 25,000. More than half of U.S. workers have no retirement plan at all.
* A crumbling, decaying infrastructure, with 150,000 structurally deficient bridges, bursting water mains, and an overstressed electrical grid.
* Horrific government public education producing millions of low functioning morons.
* Rotting social fabric, with 40% of children born out of wedlock (72% of black children) and a 50% divorce rate.
* An energy policy based upon unicorns farting rainbows and press releases about green energy and the miracle of shale fracking, as average gas prices in 2012 and 2011 were the highest in U.S. history.
As the pitiful excuses for statesmen in Washington D.C. pander and posture about the dreaded fiscal cliff which was purposely created by the oligarchs as a show for the masses, none of the true issues above are being addressed. The dramatic compromise that will ultimately be reached between the equally corrupt parties will be hailed by the corporate media and Wall Street shysters and an HFT supercomputer engineered stock market rally will ensue. The cowardice of these politicians is revolting. As Huxley knew in 1958, politicians and propagandists prefer nonsense and storylines to truth, knowledge and honesty.
"Human beings act in a great variety of irrational ways, but all of them seem to be capable, if given a fair chance, of making a reasonable choice in the light of available evidence. Democratic institutions can be made to work only if all concerned do their best to impart knowledge and to encourage rationality. But today, in the world's most powerful democracy, the politicians and the propagandists prefer to make nonsense of democratic procedures by appealing almost exclusively to the ignorance and irrationality of the electors." - Aldous Huxley, "Brave New World Revisited"
We want to be lied to because the truth is too painful. Hope and denial with a dash of delusion is the recipe the mindless masses prefer. The average person doesn't want to understand the chart below. They want to believe the U.S. will dominate economically and lead the world for decades to come. We are still the bright shining beacon of democracy on the mountaintop. Even though the facts unequivocally reveal a declining empire, the masses desperately grasp at straws in the wind. The United States share of world GDP will be vastly lower in 2021, as the hubris of declining empires never allows them to take the necessary steps to reverse the decline (Rome, Great Britain).
The accumulation of material possessions through the use of consumer debt, peddled by bankers and reinforced through relentless corporate marketing propaganda has left the country's citizens weary, miserable, greedy, indebted and sick. Our obsession with technology has merely provided another means of distracting ourselves from confronting the dire challenges that must be addressed. We can ignore the facts but that doesn't mean they do not exist. The abnormality that grips this nation is breathtaking to behold, as the status quo cheer on and encourage consumers to buy more things with money they don't have in order to support an economic recovery that is dependent upon zero interest rates for Wall Street banks, QE to infinity, and the delusional desire for a miraculous return to the good old days when getting something for nothing was possible. We can no longer deny reality. If we want to add 30 million people to Medicaid, it must be paid for. If we want to wage never ending wars and police the world, it must be paid for. If we want a Federal government to spend 3.8 trillion per year, it must be paid for. Nothing is free in this world, but more than 50% of Americans seem to believe that to be true.
"Our economy is based on spending billions to persuade people that happiness is buying things, and then insisting that the only way to have a viable economy is to make things for people to buy so they'll have jobs and get enough money to buy things." - Philip Elliot Slater
We are seen by those in control as nothing more than common house flies caught in their web of lies. Your owners don't care about you. They only care about their own wealth and power. They want to control and manipulate you. They want to keep you enslaved in debt and running on the treadmill of consumption. They want passive, non-critical thinking drones to do the menial service jobs that remain in this country, while they use their control of our financial, political, tax, and legal systems to ransack and pillage the wealth of the dwindling middle class. The truth is the continuation of our current economic system is mathematically impossible. Your owners know this. This is why the use of propaganda, misinformation, fake data, and false storylines has taken on astronomical proportions. The time for passivity and accepting the deceitfulness of our leaders is coming to an end. While you're waiting in line this Christmas season at Wal-Mart to purchase a fabulously priced shirt that only required the deaths of 112 Bangladesh slave laborers, try to figure out how we got here. Your owners think they have you by the balls, as George Carlin commented... STRONG LANGUAGE ALERT!
