Hello Mates,
I am an Indian Hindu-Male, 34, was married 4.5 years ago, have a son 3 years old, who was born in USA, and I have following points:
oMy wife (also Hindu) left me for her job in India after our son was born in USA (after 7 months of his birth). She is a Class -1 officer with Maharashtra Govt. (salary: Rs 7.5 Lacks + 4 - 7 Lacks under the table) she is very greedy!
oIt looks like she married under her parent's pressure, but was never interested. She is too close to her girl-friends. In USA you can't intimately touch anybody (in lieu of sexual harassment charges), but she will go an extra mile to hug all the girls when taking pictures (everytime). Even American White girls (my office mates) will feel little embarrassed. That is beyond friendliness!
oWe have been separated for last 2.5 years.
oShe is very very selfish, as she took all the gold and diamond jeweler with her when she returned to India and is not returning it back to me.
oShe compares me with Indian Waiters and Clearks all the time ( I have her email with proof), just to annoy me.
oWhen she was studying at IIT- N. Delhi, she was dating a guy and even after marriage they still meet and roam around holding hands. Apparently she calls him "Bahya/Big-Brother".
oShe recently bought MHADA flat in Powai, 1.5 years ago, but in recent past, when they increased their flat prices by 15 lacks more (LINK: http://www.indianexpress.com/news/buyers-miffed-as-mhada-hikes-price-of-powai-flats-by-43-/985889/), she is demanding that money from me, or else she says that she will file false 498-A charges against me and my widow mom (Ex-Army officers wife) and put us in jail. She is harassing us for 15 lacks now.
oI am currently unemployed after coming back to India, because of the economic slag/downturn.
QUESTION: I recently filed for Divorce 5 months ago, but with the current changes in laws which support only women's side, she is contesting it, in the court by saying that I have deserted her and "She wants to live with me happily". But the truth is that she wants to drain me financially before she wants to run away with her Ex-Boyfriend. The reason why I cant live with her anymore is because under her constant bikering/harassment, I feel like committing suicide. WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE?
Please help me! I don't want to die under pressure! Oh God please help me!
Rahul.
"WHAT'S NORMAL IN A PROFOUNDLY ABNORMAL SOCIETY?"
by James Quinn
"I consider myself a seeker of truth. It isn't easy finding it in todays' world. In an alternate version of the famous scene from "A Few Good Men," I picture myself telling Turbo Tax Timmy Geithner that I want the truth and his angry truthful response: "Son, we live in a world that has Wall Street banks, and those banks have to be guarded by puppet politicians in Washington D.C. with lobbyist written laws and Madison Avenue PR maggots with media propaganda. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Representative Paul? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the average middle class American family, and you curse the ruling oligarchs. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the death of the American middle class, while tragic, probably saved the bonuses of thousands of Wall Street bankers. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, increases the wealth of these same bankers who destroyed the worldwide economic system in 2008. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in the food bank line, you want me on Wall Street, you need me on Wall Street. We use words like derivative, fiscal stimulus, quantitative easing. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent syphoning off the wealth of the nation. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very debt that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up 1000 shares of Apple, and hope our high frequency trading supercomputers can ramp the market for a while longer. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."
I find myself more amazed than ever at the ability of those in power to lie, misinform and obfuscate the truth, while millions of Americans willfully choose to be ignorant of the truth and yearn to be misled. It's a match made in heaven. Acknowledging the truth of our society's descent from a country of hard working, self-reliant, charitable, civic minded citizens into the abyss of entitled, dependent, greedy, materialistic consumers is unacceptable to the slave owners and the slaves. We can't handle the truth because that would require critical thought, hard choices, sacrifice, and dealing with the reality of an unsustainable economic and societal model. It's much easier to believe the big lies that allow us to sleep at night. The concept of lying to the masses and using propaganda techniques to manipulate and form public opinion really took hold in the 1920s and have been perfected by the powerful ruling elite that control the reins of finance, government and mass media.
"The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal. Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does." They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted." - Aldous Huxley, "Brave New World Revisited"
We are all liars. We lie to friends, family and co-workers. We convince ourselves they are only small lies and just protect others from being hurt. We would rather be lied to than face the blunt truth about our deficiencies, shortcomings and failures. Willfully believing mistruths allows a person to become dependent upon those promulgating the mistruths. It relieves them of their responsibility to act upon the knowledge that something is wrong and must be fixed. It is a cowardly path to ultimate servitude and destruction. The German people chose this path in the 1930s and the American people have chosen a similar and ultimately destructive path today. The United States Office of Strategic Services prepared a psychological profile report during the war describing Adolf Hitler's method for controlling the minds of the German masses: "His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."
America's corruptible politicians, greedy corporate chieftains, criminal banking overlords, and despicable media manipulators all learned the sordid lessons of mass propaganda from the masters. Our willingness to lie and be lied to set us up to be manipulated by those who understood the mass psychology of a nation. Goebbels and Hitler were heavily influenced by the father of propaganda - Edward Bernays. He and his disciples are professional poisoners of the public mind, exploiters of public foolishness and ignorance, and never allow truth to interfere with a good story. What master manipulators realized is that it is easier to change the attitude of millions than the attitude of one man. By analyzing and understanding the process and motives of how the group mind works, the invisible government has been able to manipulate and regulate the masses according to their will without the masses knowing they are being managed. Bernays described this elitist view of the world in 1928:
"Those who manipulate the unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. In almost every act of our lives whether in the sphere of politics or business in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind." - Edward Bernays, "Propaganda"
The super-rich elite believe they are more intelligent, more capable of managing the affairs of state, masters of the financial world, and chosen to decide what is best for the masses. In reality, they are egocentric, psychotic, power hungry, myopic, self-serving ravenous vultures, feasting upon the carcass of a once great nation. Truth is inconsequential and irritating to their plans for world domination and control. Therefore, no truth will be forthcoming from any organization or person that is associated with the existing political, economic, financial or social order. Every bit of information that is permitted into the public realm has been vetted, manipulated and spun for public consumption. The public does not like bad news. They do not like hard facts. They do not like to think or do math. They want to be spoon fed mindless sound bites and happy talk. The oligarchs need to keep the masses sedated and subservient while they continue to plunder and pillage, so all data is massaged to provide a happy ending.
This is where I deviate from the ideologue one-trick ponies that refuse to see both sides of the issue. The ruling oligarchs are wealthy, influential, psychotic, amoral, and few. The masses are relatively poor, easily influenced, willfully ignorant, and many. The ruling oligarchs are most certainly evil, but the masses are not the hard working, stoic, downtrodden portrayed by liberal ideologues. One just needs to walk down the street in one of our urban enclaves, saunter through a suburban mall, or click on People of Wal-Mart to witness the tattooed, pierced, butt crack showing, slovenly, obese, and ignorant, attached to their electronic iGadgets, to understand how far our society has deteriorated. Every individual born into this world has the capability to become educated, think critically, not follow the herd, live beneath their means, and not be influenced by propaganda. Aldous Huxley understood in 1931 that those in power could use material goods to invoke passivity and egotism among the populace. He feared that truth would be obscured by an avalanche of irrelevance (500 Reality TV shows), cultural trivialities (Lady Gaga, Lindsey Lohan), distractions (Professional sports), and pharmaceutical enhanced escape (Prozac). He saw the possibility that we would grow to love our servitude as the pleasures of life provided by our controllers overwhelmed any desire to think or question authority.
No sane person could honestly say that what has happened to our society over the last forty years, and particularly in the last five years, is normal. But somehow those in power have convinced the masses that 1.2 trillion deficits, 0% interest rates, declining real wages, the highest average gas prices in history, pre-emptive wars, policing the world and buying rubber dog shit produced in China with a credit card is normal and beneficial to our economy. It seems that I and a few million other people in this country are the abnormal ones. We choose not to be led to slaughter by our masters. The seekers of truth have turned to the alternative media and are able to connect with like-minded critical thinking individuals on websites like Zero Hedge, Jesse's Americain Caf'e, Of Two Minds, Mish, among many other truth seeking blogs. This is dangerous to the powers that be and they are using their political clout and extreme wealth to try and lock down and control free speech on the internet. If this is accomplished all hope at disseminating truth will be lost.
Abraham Lincoln once said that he believed in the people and that if you told them the truth and gave them the cold hard facts they would meet any crisis. That may have been true in 1860, but not today. The cold hard facts are available for all to see:
* A 16.3 trillion National Debt
* 47 million people on food stamps
* Over 222 trillion of unfunded Federal entitlement liabilities
* Over 50 trillion of unfunded State entitlement liabilities
* True unemployment above 20%.
* True inflation above 5%.
* A stock market at the same level as 1999, with a 10 year expected annual return of less than 4% - Stocks for the really, really long run. 10 year bond returns of 0% will be a miracle.
* A savings rate of 3.7% and with Bernanke's ZIRP, no incentive to save. Real hourly earnings continue to fall.
* Baby Boomers within 10 years of retirement have saved an average of only 78,000, and more than a third of them have less than 25,000. More than half of U.S. workers have no retirement plan at all.
* A crumbling, decaying infrastructure, with 150,000 structurally deficient bridges, bursting water mains, and an overstressed electrical grid.
* Horrific government public education producing millions of low functioning morons.
* Rotting social fabric, with 40% of children born out of wedlock (72% of black children) and a 50% divorce rate.
* An energy policy based upon unicorns farting rainbows and press releases about green energy and the miracle of shale fracking, as average gas prices in 2012 and 2011 were the highest in U.S. history.
As the pitiful excuses for statesmen in Washington D.C. pander and posture about the dreaded fiscal cliff which was purposely created by the oligarchs as a show for the masses, none of the true issues above are being addressed. The dramatic compromise that will ultimately be reached between the equally corrupt parties will be hailed by the corporate media and Wall Street shysters and an HFT supercomputer engineered stock market rally will ensue. The cowardice of these politicians is revolting. As Huxley knew in 1958, politicians and propagandists prefer nonsense and storylines to truth, knowledge and honesty.
"Human beings act in a great variety of irrational ways, but all of them seem to be capable, if given a fair chance, of making a reasonable choice in the light of available evidence. Democratic institutions can be made to work only if all concerned do their best to impart knowledge and to encourage rationality. But today, in the world's most powerful democracy, the politicians and the propagandists prefer to make nonsense of democratic procedures by appealing almost exclusively to the ignorance and irrationality of the electors." - Aldous Huxley, "Brave New World Revisited"
We want to be lied to because the truth is too painful. Hope and denial with a dash of delusion is the recipe the mindless masses prefer. The average person doesn't want to understand the chart below. They want to believe the U.S. will dominate economically and lead the world for decades to come. We are still the bright shining beacon of democracy on the mountaintop. Even though the facts unequivocally reveal a declining empire, the masses desperately grasp at straws in the wind. The United States share of world GDP will be vastly lower in 2021, as the hubris of declining empires never allows them to take the necessary steps to reverse the decline (Rome, Great Britain).
The accumulation of material possessions through the use of consumer debt, peddled by bankers and reinforced through relentless corporate marketing propaganda has left the country's citizens weary, miserable, greedy, indebted and sick. Our obsession with technology has merely provided another means of distracting ourselves from confronting the dire challenges that must be addressed. We can ignore the facts but that doesn't mean they do not exist. The abnormality that grips this nation is breathtaking to behold, as the status quo cheer on and encourage consumers to buy more things with money they don't have in order to support an economic recovery that is dependent upon zero interest rates for Wall Street banks, QE to infinity, and the delusional desire for a miraculous return to the good old days when getting something for nothing was possible. We can no longer deny reality. If we want to add 30 million people to Medicaid, it must be paid for. If we want to wage never ending wars and police the world, it must be paid for. If we want a Federal government to spend 3.8 trillion per year, it must be paid for. Nothing is free in this world, but more than 50% of Americans seem to believe that to be true.
"Our economy is based on spending billions to persuade people that happiness is buying things, and then insisting that the only way to have a viable economy is to make things for people to buy so they'll have jobs and get enough money to buy things." - Philip Elliot Slater
We are seen by those in control as nothing more than common house flies caught in their web of lies. Your owners don't care about you. They only care about their own wealth and power. They want to control and manipulate you. They want to keep you enslaved in debt and running on the treadmill of consumption. They want passive, non-critical thinking drones to do the menial service jobs that remain in this country, while they use their control of our financial, political, tax, and legal systems to ransack and pillage the wealth of the dwindling middle class. The truth is the continuation of our current economic system is mathematically impossible. Your owners know this. This is why the use of propaganda, misinformation, fake data, and false storylines has taken on astronomical proportions. The time for passivity and accepting the deceitfulness of our leaders is coming to an end. While you're waiting in line this Christmas season at Wal-Mart to purchase a fabulously priced shirt that only required the deaths of 112 Bangladesh slave laborers, try to figure out how we got here. Your owners think they have you by the balls, as George Carlin commented... STRONG LANGUAGE ALERT!

Piccadilly Publishing has already established itself as a favorite publishing house with western fans, and we are delighted to have David Whitehead here to tell us all about this vibrant publishing house.
By the end of 2012, Piccadilly Publishing will have issued no less than thirty-one books, all but four of them westerns. Not bad for a company that only began life in May 2012, and only came about at all thanks to a chance remark by my friend and partner in this venture, Mike Stotter.
"I know what I wanted to ask you," he said right out of the blue one day. "What do you think about bringing all the old Piccadilly Cowboy westerns back as e-books?"
Hmmm. I had to think about it for all of two, maybe three seconds. The possibility that we could somehow bring all those hard-and-getting-harder-to-find books back into 'e-print' was impossible to resist. It had all been so much fun first time around, when Mike and I, then in our late teens, had taken it upon ourselves to write to, then meet up with our idols. The possibility of being able to recreate that period all over again was immensely attractive.
The name of our company was never in doubt. Terry Harknett, Laurence James, Angus Wells, John Harvey, and latterly Ken Bulmer, Mike Linaker and Frederick Nolan, all became known as 'Piccadilly Cowboys' because that was the farthest west they'd ever been. So 'Piccadilly Publishing' it was.
Now, we needed to get our writers on board.
Terry Harknett's EDGE and STEELE books were already being reissued quite successfully by Malcolm Elliott-Davey, alias 'Cody Wells' - who himself was to become an important part of our team as things progressed. But Mike was still in touch with John Harvey and Elizabeth James, widow of Laurence. And Mike Linaker was only too happy to let us give his BODIE THE STALKER and JASON BRAND books a new lease of life.
Inevitably we soon found ourselves widening the scope of our company. I had always enjoyed the above-average MADIGAN westerns by my friend Keith Hetherington, alias 'Hank J. Kirby', and so he was another writer we went after very early on. Before long we added the likes of Frederick Nolan, alias 'Frederick H. Christian', and even took it upon ourselves to add some SF, and latterly, crime, to our monthly schedules.
But our first love was and remains the western, and though we plan to launch our 'Piccadilly Crime' series in earnest next year, we still see ourselves very much as a publisher of westerns - specifically, series westerns.
In those early weeks and months, however, there was plenty of frustration and disappointment. In all too many cases it has proven to be almost impossible to track down some writers and establish who now owns the rights in their books. And I suppose, as new kids on the block, many other writers or their representatives preferred to wait and see if we really were serious about what we planned to do. But that was fine. We expected to have to prove ourselves. And in May 2012 we did. That was the month we published our first book, TRACKDOWN, by Neil Hunter.
Now, it's at this point that you expect me to add, "... and the rest is history." It isn't, though. More accurately it's still history in the making.
Over the months we've added a number of books and authors to our line-up, the idea being to vary our monthly schedules as much as we can, and provide something for everyone. So now we also have the tough-as-tacks Iron Eyes and more traditional Bar 10 books of Michael D. George, writing as 'Rory Black' and 'Boyd Cassidy' respectively. We have the Reaper and Shatterhand books of B. J. Holmes. And sometimes it seems to Mike and I that we're adding new writers and series by the day.
The level of success our company has had has been both surprising and gratifying. Western readers have embraced 'the brand' and many of them now rightly feel that they are just as much a part of Piccadilly Publishing as the writers themselves. I can't explain why this is, but my guess is that our readers know that we are every bit as much fans as they are, so maybe they identify with us and understand that we are genuine in our desire to bring the western back to its old prominence, and of course to keep it attractive and affordable in the process!
The distinctive look of our books is really down to the aforementioned Malcolm Elliott-Davey. They do say that water finds its own level, and Malcolm, Mike and I all found common ground in our love of, and enthusiasm for, the genre. This is a very good opportunity to thank Malcolm publicly for his incredible work, because he more than anyone has really stamped the distinctive 'look' on the PP product.
Although we started out as a reprint publisher, we also inaugurated a series of stand-alone westerns under the general title Piccadilly Publishing Presents, and it was under this banner that we published, in September 2012, our first original book, SHERIFF OF FRIENDLY by Paul Green. I'm proud to say that Paul again treated us to an original novel in THE REVENGE OF CATO STREET (to be published in November 2012). There are more original books to come throughout 2013, including the western THE UNFORGIVEN by Black Horse Western favourite D. M. Harrison, and another title from our rising star Paul Green, TRAIL OF BLOOD. I was particularly pleased when we also added Thomas McNulty's ultra-fine western, DEATH RIDES A PALOMINO, to our list for 2013.
More recently we've added some true heavyweights to our imprint. In November 2012 we publish our first western by Tony Masero. Tony needs no introduction, of course, but I'll give him one anyway. He is an artist whose talent knows no bounds, and whose work established more than any other the distinctive look of the original Piccadilly westerns of the 1970s and 80s. He is also a prolific writer, and has written horror, science fiction and crime, in addition to a whole passel of fine westerns. Tony's first western for Piccadilly Publishing is DEADLY MANHUNT, which is a sequel of sorts to his earlier BHW, JOHNNY DOLLAR. It's a fabulous book, much darker and grittier than his earlier westerns, and I think readers will have a great time with it. Indeed, I look forward to seeing many more of Tony's all-new westerns appearing under our aegis.
As if that wasn't enough, we launch two more series in December 2012 that will be of enormous interest to western readers - Peter Brandvold's critically-acclaimed 'Lou Prophet' yarns and the 'Storm Family' saga by Matt Chisholm.
Colorado resident Peter Brandvold can now lay claim to more than seventy westerns, under his own name and the pen-name 'Frank Leslie'. His series recount the adventures of such colourful
characters as Sheriff Ben Stillman, Gideon Hawk (the Rogue Lawman), Cuno Massey, Yakima Henry and Tom Navarro. PP will be issuing the first six Lou Prophet westerns throughout 2013, with hopefully many more Peter Brandvold titles to follow.
Matt Chisholm is another legendary writer. At his peak, Englishman Peter Watts (to give him his real name) was selling seven million westerns in the UK alone. A prolific writer whose work also appeared under the names Cy James and Luke Jones, he is now best-remembered for his long-running series featuring Rem McAllister, but in addition to these books Peter also chronicled the ongoing adventures of Joe Blade, Sam Spurr... and of course the Storm Family. Led by Will Storm, the family up-stakes and undertake a dangerous cattle-drive in STAMPEDE, the first book of the series. Later stories tell of the trials and triumphs of Will and his kin.
For 2013 we are also immensely proud to welcome Terry Harknett to the fold with no less than three non-western series - Chester Fortune (the hard-boiled Los Angeles P.I.), Crown (Terry's taut series of police thrillers set in pre-1999 Hong Kong) and the Stephen Wayne mysteries, which include some of Terry's earliest work... and also some of his most difficult titles to find.
We do have many other plans for company, but at the moment these are classified at an 'Above Top Secret' level. What I can promise is that we are all heading for a long-overdue renaissance in popular western and action-adventure fiction, and Piccadilly Publishing is proud to be part of the vanguard making it happen.

I have written about Fritz Springmeier many times in passing. He has appeared at least once on this blog ("Al Gore and the Suitcase of Blood"), several times on Swallowing the Camel, and quite a few times on blogs dealing with "Satanic panic".
It would be exhausting and rather pointless to detail his entire career here, but if you're unfamiliar with Springmeier, here are some details you may want to know:
* Born in 1955, he used the name Victor Earl Schoof until legally changing it to Fritz Springmeier in 1987.
* He says he attended West Point, but did not.
* He professes to be a very religious man, and once ran a sort of Christian lay ministry (he is not an ordained minister, and does not have any theological training).
* In 1997 he allegedly circulated a strange "affidavit", accusing several other Christian ministers, including Alex Jones's mentor Texe Marrs, or trying to sabotage this ministry. "Several people have told me my ex-wife is controlled by demons and given her life to Satan," he wrote of his second wife, Gail.
* To his mind, every religious tradition outside of the Judeo-Christian is basically Satanism. This includes ancient Egyptian beliefs, Theosophy, and any form of occultism. Oh, and Jehovah's Witnesses. And the Catholic Church. Ina 1996 Prophecy Club lecture, Springmeier said every human on Earth is tracked from birth to death by Jesuit priests.
* His conspiracy writing and lectures have been a huge influence on David Icke. Much of Springmeier's misinfo has made it into Icke's books. For example, the Belgian castle called Chateau Amerois is referred to by both Springmeier and Icke as the "Mothers of Darkness" castle, in which the elite hold ghastly Satanic rituals and slaughter children.
* In the early '90s, he became deeply interested in the subject of government mind control programs, and trained himself to be a deprogrammer of women who allegedly survived "Project Monarch", a supposed offshoot of MK-ULTRA*. He ended up leaving his second wife and young son for one of these women, Cisco Wheeler. Together they authored books and gave lectures on Illuminati mind control techniques. Their best-known work is the massive book The Illuminati Formula Used to Create an Undetectable Mind Controlled Slave.
* Cisco Wheeler, like all alleged Monarch victims, was deliberately programmed to have multiple personalities (Dissociative Identity Disorder). One of her alter personalities was a cat.
* Springmeier's take on history is, um, creative. In the Prophecy Club lecture cited above, he declared that Hitler was descended from the Rothschilds. You'll see more of his unique interpretations of history later in this post.
* He really, and I mean really, hates The Wizard of Oz. He's convinced it's a Satanic parable used in the mind control programming and ritual torture of young children. He thinks the same of every film, book, and TV show that appears to reference Oz in any way (for instance, the movie K-Pax).
* In his book Bloodlines of the Illuminati, Springmeier attempted to identify the 13 families that have controlled the world for centuries. His M.O. was to tick off lists of prominent people with the same last name, without bothering to ascertain if they were actually related to one another, then link them to the Illuminati by the most tenuous connections. For example, reporter Robert Collins was implicated simply because he had the surname Collins and because the Illuminati "control the press" (Springmeier provided no evidence that the Illuminati does, in fact, control the press). Likewise, he tied serial killer Ted Bundy to the Bundy/McBundy families, and explained that his sadistic sociopathic condition is quite typical of Illuminati members, even though Bundy's name came from a working class stepfather.
* In the '80s, he vociferously defended "former Illuminati member" John Todd long after Todd's stories were shown to be fraudulent. The late Mr. Todd was a "Christian" con artist posing as a former Satanist. He was also a convicted rapist. Though he had a long history of complaints against him for propositioning teenage girls, and faced related criminal charges several times, Springmeier insisted that Todd's rape conviction was a frame-up by (who else?) the Illuminati. At one point, he even claimed that Todd had been abducted from prison and murdered by Illuminati agents in 1994. This was not true. Todd was released from prison in 2004, was remanded into custody as a dangerous sex offender, and died a natural death three years later. Now, Springmeier uses the same cry of frame-up in reference to his own criminal activities.
* In their book Deeper Insights Into the Illuminati Formula, Springmeier and Wheeler state that the Illuminati has been creating "synthetic humans" (made partly from cows) since the 1970s.
* In 2001, he and his third wife, Patricia, were arrested for having a marijuana grow op in conjunction with a white supremacist, Forrest E. Bateman, Sr. Bateman was convicted in 1989 of racially intimidating a high school student in Forest Grove, Oregon, and three years later he appeared on the state police's Ten Most Wanted list for firearm offenses and assault connected to skinhead activities. And now we get to the heart of the matter...
I have trained quite a number of coaches in my lifetime. In many cases, these people are enthusiastic, passionate, and always willing to step forward to help people. In my line of work, it also is imperative for me to know that there is help out there for anyone who seeks.
However, many people still don't know the existence of coaching. Hence, allow me to make a proposition. In order for you to understand coaching effectively, you first need to understand what a coach does.
Firstly, coaches are your answer to a gap in knowledge. If you really want to get an answer quickly, do you really think that going to Google is going to help you? Of course, if you can sift through dozens of pages quickly, it is likely you will eventually find your answer. Yet, it is probably more difficult to collate and integrate all the information you find than finding someone who is already well versed in what they do. They, would probably be able to give you the answer in half an hour of solid coaching than you could in three days of browsing.
If you ever wanted to accomplish more with your life, sure, you can go to the national library and do your whole bunch of research, and end up with the answer probably about three months down the road. On the other hand, within those three months, I personally utilized coaches and mentors to climb up to the upper echelons of various different areas of expertise. These include the one that I tend to be more famous for, Internet marketing. While I didn't have products to sell, it was so simple for me to acquire the knowledge and use it because I was interviewing well over 60 different experts in Internet marketing at the time when there was no one who could provide all this at one go. This enabled by book "The Secrets of Internet Millionaires" to rise to the top 10 on the Straits Times Bestseller's List for a few weeks. Not bad for someone who was in the industry for a couple of years.
Coaches are your answer to instant skills. At the same time, you may also realized that coaches who do have subject area expertise could probably give you advice as to what kinds of mistakes to avoid. This is imperative. If you know that there are mistakes to avoid, your journey would be more cost efficient. Now, I don't know whether you want to spend an hour, and pay a 200 bill for a coach, or waste several months, possibly a few tens of thousands of dollars, just to learn that you have to avoid this particular mistake. Now granted, I am quite sure that if you did it the latter way, it is likely that you would appreciate your lesson much more. But I learned a long time ago that you don't have to discover that you might die tomorrow to appreciate what you have today! That will be just plain stupid.
One more area where coaches typically add to your repertoire of personal development is their ability to speed up thinking. Think about it: all of your life you might have been driving down one road, even though you might be no expert in driving. You happen to know all the shortcuts along that road, and if there happen to be any jams or accidents along the way, it's easy for you to get out of that fix isn't it? Now, imagine that your coach is just like this expert. Any time you get into a jam, this expert wouldn't have to walk down the same path way just to tell you what to do. He knows exactly what to do. That's the beauty of a coach. You have the opportunity to tap into his speed of decision-making.
Now, consider that you are running a business. A decent business coach, will be able to provide you with direction, focus, skill, and effective decisions. It's almost like having a more mature business owner work for you, except that, well, he doesn't. In doing so, you not only are able to create greater value add, you also stop wasting time. And you and I both know that we only have 24 hours of that everyday.
So, consider you are now in the life transition. Perhaps someone in your life treated you badly, or you have just lost a loved one. It's very common to encounter dilemma and inertia at this point of time. a coach would be most suitable for you at this point of time because it can get you on your feet. One more thing, you might need someone to provide you with new perspective so that you can get your own motivation to kick in. This is the reason why I train Certified Motivational Coaches. these are people who understand the psychology of motivation. They also know how to remove motivational barriers to enable anyone to move forward in an effective way in their lives. As an illustration, I happen to know one of my coaches who was able to speak with someone he knew effectively enough such that he changed his old approach to communicating and develop a stronger relationship with his family. This is a life coaching application. Anyone who is well-versed in my methodology for coaching would be able to do this at least at a rudimentary and still helpful level.
So we have it: instant skills, avoidance of problems, and speed of decision-making. All this, on a silver platter, if you know how to leverage a well-trained coach.if you are seeking some coaches for help, you might want to drop me a note and I can refer you to the appropriate people. In addition, if you have never encountered coaching therefore, you can also contact me so that I can link you up with coaches who are offering a trial session for coaching so that you can understand how powerful coaching can be.
If you have yourself contemplated being a coach, you can head down to this link to find out more during my CMC introductory sessions.

In my previous post, How Many (White) Men Are Getting Married I noted that there was a definite trend for White Men, between ages 35-40, to be unmarried. Using the GSS Data, the increase was from 5% in 1972 to 25% in 2004. A marked increase. Recent, a couple of articles by married women have shed light on the state of marriage by people who are, in fact, married, and are the Yuppie, White upper income class of people.
The infamous, Sandra Tsing Loh article in the Atlantic, extolling the virtues of divorce and a new post-marriage order where,
...let them have some sort of French arrangement where they have two men, the postfeminist model dad building shelves, cooking bouillabaise, and ignoring them in the home, and the occasional fun-loving boyfriend the kids never see.
Tellingly, the article derides Dads who help around the house and kitchen as "kitchen bitches" and finds both un-manly and un-romantic. Another woman writes that her marriage is a prison and she needs to bust out, because her beta male husband is not exciting, though a good father and husband. Comments about Loh's article can be found both here and here. Ross Douhat in the New York Times makes some silly observations and stupid ones on the matter (that the Upper classes are in fact stable, and with few incidences of divorce, and that cross-class marriages should take place, respectively).
But what is the real picture of marriage today, in America, among Whites? Increasingly, it looks as if marriage was for Upper Class people only, and no longer something that characterizes lower and middle class Whites.
Sandra Tsing Loh's article is not new. Barbara Ehrenreich, of "Nickel and Dimed" wrote a December, 1999 Essay on the future of the family, sadly no longer online, in Time Magazine, in which she advocated a "fluid and ever-changing arrangement" for family care in which "the community" would care for children while women pursued passionate, intense, but short-lasting affairs. More recently, she's written here that:
Which brings us to the third big scenario. This is the diversity option, arising from the realization that the one-size-fits-all model of marriage may have been one of the biggest sources of tension between the sexes all along--based as it is on the wildly unrealistic expectation that a single spouse can meet one's needs for a lover, friend, co-parent, financial partner, reliably, 24-7. Instead there will be renewable marriages, which get re-evaluated every five to seven years, after which they can be revised, recelebrated or dissolved with no, or at least fewer, hard feelings. There will be unions between people who don't live together full-time but do want to share a home base. And of course there will always be plenty of people who live together but don't want to make a big deal out of it. Already, thanks to the gay-rights movement, more than 600 corporations and other employers offer domestic-partner benefits, a 60-fold increase since 1990.
Standard stuff from a feminist who thinks Muslim misogyny is based on fears of globalization.
Betty Friedan, who wrote of marriage as a prison, in "The Feminine Mystique" set the tone, years earlier of course. It is striking, however, that all of these women belong to a class. Fairly rich, ranging from mansions on the Hudson (Friedan never did housework, she had maids and servants) to various maids and nannies, but not rich enough to prevent divorce or longing for divorce.
The film The Nanny Diaries has a scene in which the prospective nanny, played by Scarlett Johansson, has lunch with her prospective employer (played by Laura Linney). There is an uncomfortable moment when an old friend of the Linney character stops by the table and laments her downward mobility after the divorce. Near the end of the film, the Linney character divorces her husband also, and loses the ability to live the high-life with mansions, summer homes at Martha's Vineyard, and other luxury amenities provided by her master of the universe, Wall Street titan husband. In reality of course, most married couples with that level of wealth try to stay together. The stakes, particularly for the children, are tremendous. There is a lot more ability to rise high on a net worth of 20 million, than there is with only perhaps 8 million an ex-spouse, after lawyer fees. Serious money creates serious behavior, though perhaps the super-rich divorce at the rate of those on the lower end of the financial spectrum.
It's striking that the women complaining about their sexless, "beta male" husbands (Loh, others) and the need to "re-invent" marriage as a formless, shapeless mess in which kids and husbands come last after a woman's need for passion and excitement, all come from a certain class. One able to afford nannies and maids and carpenters, making "kitchen bitches" superfluous, and speaking to the need to indulge "passion" while not at the level of wealth in which divorce means no more summering at the Hamptons in a private mansion. At least one of the women in Loh's article is described as making 120,000 a year, in addition to her husband's income (which should push their dual-incomes to around 200,000 or more a year). Given their social network, it's reasonable to assume the same for Loh and her husband (she an NPR commentator, and Atlantic writer, he a guitarist for Bette Midler) and the rest of her friends.
These women have enough money to hire their own nannies, their own carpenters, their own part-time cooks, and thus don't need or want their husbands helping around the house. It's not any accident that the women describe it as unmanly, as does the Salon.com woman who describes her marriage as a prison. Their basic needs are met by their income, and they desire stimulation and excitement. [This is why, middle income women always support more immigration, legal or illegal. Because immigration increases the supply and lowers the cost of Rosa the Nanny and Manuel the carpenter, without facing competition as, say, a Concert Violinist or Environmental Lawyer, two of the occupations of Loh's friends.]
The women also have another beef with their husbands: they don't respect them because they earn as much or more than their husbands. This is a trend that has been developing for some time.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics website has a wealth of demographic data. Their 2007 report on Women's Earnings has a wealth of data. Among the highlights are:
* The difference between women's and men's earnings was largest among those aged 55 to 64, with women earning about 73 percent as much as men in this age group. By
comparison, women earned 87 percent as much as men among workers 25 to 34 years old, and 92 percent as much among 16- to 24-year-olds. (See table 1.)
* Between 1979 and 2007, the earnings gap between women and men narrowed for most age groups. The women's to men's earnings ratio among 35- to 44-year-olds, for example, rose from 58 percent in 1979 to 77 percent in 2007, and the ratio for 45- to 54-year-olds increased from 57 percent to 75 percent. The earnings ratios for teenagers and for workers aged 65 and older fluctuated from 1979 to 2007, but their long-term trend has been essentially flat. (See table 12.)
From the report, we have the following graphs:
Clearly we can see that women's earnings have been increasing. Correlation is not causation, but it is interesting that as women's earnings have increased both in absolute and relative to men's earnings, divorce and later marriage and single motherhood have all increased. Charles Murray believes that the single motherhood rate among White working and middle class women may be as high as 40% and 20% respectively.
Again, correlation is not causation, but marriage seems strongest in those populations (Asian and White) that have the biggest earnings gap between men and women, and weakest in those populations (Black and Hispanics) that have the smallest gap.
Men have done poorly in 1979 dollar amounts (and 1979 was a miserable year, economically) to 2007, in all educational areas except Bachelor's Degree and Higher. But even there, they are far out-stripped by women, and women have done better than men, with small but measurable increases for Associate's Degree and High School Grad, where in comparison men have losses, and substantial ones, from 1979 dollars. Even with less than High School diplomas, women posted smaller losses than men in 1979 dollar amounts, i.e. inflation adjusted.
Finally, we can see that women outnumber men in most workplace areas, except things like mining, trucking, and the like. In Professional occupations, women outnumber men by 9.4%. This is the largest gap on the graph.
It's possible, that as women have closed the earnings gap with men, particularly among middle class, professional occupations (such as lawyers, doctors, the like), the ability of most men, who won't be very exciting even on a good day, to first attract a woman into marriage, and then keep her happy, is low. Given that women can as Loh recounts her friend "Ellen" can pursue lots of bad boys, why not replace "nice guy" husbands like Ron with maids and nannies, and keep the bad boys around? Increasingly, this seems to be the choice women are making.
The Wall Street Journal in the "Real Pregnancy Crisis" suggests that the real issue is non-College White, Latino, and Black women having children out of wedlock. The CDC reports that 40% of children were born illegitimately, compared to 11% in 1970. Fully 60% of these children were born to women in their twenties, only 23% to teens. The article decries the nonsense feminist academics praising this development, ala Loh, Ehrenreich, and Friedan before her.
ABC News notes that America is not alone. Iceland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark post rates of 66%, 55%, 54%, and 46% respectively of illegitimacy. Nations known for rough gender parity in earnings, feminist politics, and lack of respect for their men. [One of Loh's friends notes in the Atlantic how "enlightened" Swedish women prefer dominant, aggressive Muslim men to their nice-guy Swedish men.] But then Sweden allows for gender-based abortion. Not the mark of a successful society, as China attests to. With 32 million more men than women under the age of twenty, gender imbalances due to sex-based abortions can be explosive. So too, lurching into illegitimacy as the social norm.

Over the last 40 years, marriage has declined radically, among women. While there are no class breakdowns, the largest slices of women are naturally going to be lower and middle class women, not upper class women.
We can see this decline in respect for marriage and husbands in the culture too. Nearly every ad, even those now featuring Black fathers, have doofus dads who are the butt of jokes.
Marriage, and the traditional nuclear family it seems, is something only for rich people. Yuppie women like Loh or Ehrenreich, can afford to replace husbands with exciting lovers and immigrant labor. For poorer women, out-of-wedlock children and rotating bad boys are the rule. Only where divorce means giving up real, serious money, in the millions of dollars, and giving up great luxury, do we see stable families and intact, nuclear family marriages. This great sea change, might incidentally explain the hatred of Sarah Palin, who famously married a blue collar guy of no great wealth, in her early twenties, and leveraged his support to run for office, first as Mayor of Wasilla, and then as Governor of Alaska.
After all, even the author of Moneyball, Michael Lewis, cannot get his wife's respect of that of other women. Lewis, a best-selling author not once but twice, with "Liar's Poker" is treated like a doofus.
In "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," it was eerie how the literally empowered women treated men. Written by avowed feminist Joss Whedon, Buffy and her super-powered female friends pursued, non-stop, dangerous bad boys with superpowers, who were their superiors. Character, morality, and duty meant nothing, only the thrill of violent, dangerous, super-powered men. Perhaps the most illustrative moment came when Buffy's second vampire boyfriend, "Spike" raped her, and she fell in love with him and (implied off-screen sex) with him again. [Star Sarah Michelle Gellar HATED that particular storyline and feuded with series creator and show-runner Whedon over it.]
Now, women don't have superpowers. But the better earnings, status, social conditions, and opportunities afforded women have not come without a cost, all across the West. If women are hard-wired to be hypergamous, i.e. desire men of greater power and status than themselves, this would make "kitchen bitches" irrelevant and explain our brave new world of single mothers, rotating bad boys, and disdain, shown over and over again, for fatherhood and men who embrace it. It would also explain the success of the institution of marriage in the only class that still sustains it: high powered men making millions every year and women who work only part-time in jobs that pay little but give prestige, i.e. the Non Governmental Organizations, the NGOs, like Greenpeace or Amnesty International or Heal the Bay.
The very rich men, those of the Upper Class have superpowers. They have more power and status than their wives.
Hey - the sun rising in the East is predictable too, but it's not like you'd want to be surprised tomorrow morning...
Let's take a quick look back at last week's coverage of "Tari Tari":
"More likely, I think, is an inspiring outlaw festival that gives everyone one last chance to sing and promise never to forget each other, followed by the school closing but not before the evil Chairman is humiliated in some way. We could also see something last-minute with Wien's friend Jan (could he show up for the festival? Nah...) and we're certain to see a big finish surrounding Nao-san and Wakana. And what of Taichi and Sawa - will we get a little open-ended romantic finish in that rare school series that's resolutely avoided it so far? "
If you were looking for surprises, you were looking in the wrong place. And honestly, I'm well and truly fine with that - I didn't expect surprises from this series when it started, and I certainly wasn't expecting them by the end. "Tari Tari" knows the rules and it plays by them, no questions asked. What we got was eerily close to what was expected, right down to the humiliation of the Chairman - though literally getting pantsed in front of the kids and his subordinates was a bit more literal than even I might have planned on. They didn't miss a trick with this guy, right down to having him light up a butt in front of the students as he was stepping on their dreams one last time. Booo! Hisssss!
Of course, if one were to nit-pick the whole business with the White Festival was really a manufactured conflict - there was really no need for the festival to be cancelled except to give the Choir and Sometimes Badminton Club one last chance to be plucky, and to really paint the Chairman and his icky band of 1%-ers as evil. But it was still fun, and one of the reasons is that this final episode - like the ones that immediately preceded it - wasn't overwrought with maudlin emotion and didn't take itself too seriously. The kids were very matter-of-fact about the whole situation, sardonically amused even, right to the end, and that confrontation at the school gate. Probably the most dramatic moment came when Principal Ikezaki finally broke down from the shame of what he was doing and confronted the Chairman. In terms of the club themselves, there were no tears until the departure of Sawa, and that's hardly an overreach.
So we had our White Festival, and all the boxes were checked off. The rain stopped, the gates were locked, we had our confrontation, and Nao-san stepped up to save the day. Everyone showed up, even Konatsu's brother and the kids from the hero show in the shopping district, and the play was amusingly awful (though Wakana's song was fine). And nothing, ultimately, was changed - the school wasn't saved, and the club members were left with a future that meant going their own way. The wrinkle was Sawa's decision to go overseas to try and learn to be a jockey in a country where a few extra pounds might be more acceptable, which accelerated the schedule of farewells a little. I quite like the way they handled the issue of Taichi and Sawa's relationship - Tari Tari wasn't a romance show and didn't suddenly become one. There was a scene at the airport as the choir sang over the dialogue, but it was apparent what was happening - and the whole thing was refreshingly low-key. The odds are Taichi and Sawa never see each other again, but at least he said what he wanted to say.
So where do we leave things? Poor Principal Ikezaki has presumably kissed his retirement package goodbye. Taichi got his badminton scholarship, and Konatsu appears to have been invited to join some sort of singing club at her university. Wien has finally gotten his letter from Jan, and gone back to Vienna where they have an uber-moe reunion. Sawa is pursuing her dream either in the US or Britain, presumably. And Wakana has declared to Nao-san that she'll be pursuing her dream of music after all, and asked if she can continue to look to Nao as a mentor in the future - thus allowed Nao-san to fulfill the deathbed request Mahiru made, at long last. All the boxes checked off, just like you'd expect. It seems fitting that things would end with Wakana coming home to her Dad, since apart from a brief feint towards Konatsu early on it's been clear that she was first among equals in this cast.
Looking back at "Tari Tari" as a whole, I think it's relevant to ask whether an anime in under any obligation to have any sort of larger purpose. Does a series have to have a point, or a meaning it's trying to convey, or something new it's intent on trying? Or is it enough for it simply to exist, and try to be entertaining? If you believe the latter I think this show has a lot to recommend it. I certainly don't think "Tari Tari" is an essential anime in any way, and I don't think it changed the medium or even seems likely to have a lasting impact. But still - it was a good show. Nothing more or less than that, just good - fun, and self-deprecating, and pretty to look at, and well-acted with a lovely soundtrack. It made me laugh sometimes and smile most of the time and even almost cry once (the end of the Wakana arc) and that's a hell of a lot more than many series I've watched all the way to the end. "TT" didn't really do anything to make me love it, but it was pretty tough not to like it.
If there's anything notable that "Tari Tari" accomplished, it was maintaining its balance for almost all of its run. I think it perched right on the edge between a slice-of-life series and a plot-driven one, lacking a strong narrative spine but still offering traditional conflict/resolution structure and character development. It was five or six little mini-series with the same cast, really, and given the breezy nature of the show that probably worked to its benefit. A real opportunity was wasted by reducing Taichi and Wien to bit players for two-thirds of the series, because it was a better show when they were involved - Wien especially brought a lot of heart and good-natured humor to the final arcs.
Faintly praising a show for not trying to do too much might seem like damning it, but I think knowing what it was - and wasn't - was critical to making "Tari Tari" successful. It wasn't the flashiest horse in the PA Works stable but it still featured more than its share of the studio's trademark gorgeous backgrounds. With only a couple of missteps (mostly in the Sawa mini-arc) overdramatic moments were sensibly avoided, left to shows for whom drama is the natural habitat. "Tari Tari" certainly lacked the Bohemian brilliance of "Hyouka "or the ambitious psychoanalytical melodrama of "Kokoro Connect", but it was comfortable in its own skin, and that gave it real authenticity. Writer/director Masakazu Hashimoto did pretty well for his first time with creative control, and I'll be looking forward to seeing if he matures as a writer enough to reach for a little more next time.

Is somebody up to date with Clash leave-taking to be in the right position a undersized bit surprised at this immoral California scandal? Best, look at the picture base. Flatly from the information provided by it, can you pleasantly valuation a) who cheated, b) who told what appears to be a double-crossing story to the legalize, and c) the related age of the lover and the spouse?
The organic item of Alameda District Keeper Nadia Lockyer and her husband, California Conform to Treasurer Buttress Lockyer, has thickened, as the San Francisco Show reported the occurrence of an extramarital sex tape hypothetically featuring Nadia and her former lover.
On February 3, legalize responded to a 911 call from a billet room where Nadia had been the entity of an thrash that duty-bound medical attention. According Buttress Lockyer, the thug was an ex-boyfriend whom he claimed had been persecution his partner. (The San Jose Mercury Figures famous the man as Stephan Chikhani of San Jose.) Subdue, some time ago extreme exploration, company bring down that Nadia and Chikhani may bring been composite in a consensual extramarital relationship. So, how odd is it that Lockyer's "thug", who turns out not to be a intruder, but her meth-dealing lover, is 25 kick younger and faraway auxiliary clearly alpha than the fat political herb to whom she is married? Not only does Chikhani bring a illegal tape, but he still hasn't been arrested or charged by the legalize for the purported "thrash".
This is the sort of gamble that Gammas and Deltas who last for the carousel riders to hop off the carousel and into their advantageous artillery are recurrently risking without realizing it. The problem is that afterward a woman acquires a endeavor for ALPHA, it is very, very hard for her to give it up, regardless of how faraway ruminate it makes for her to do so and how faraway she puts at put money on by her extramarital ALPHA-chasing. Assay that Nadia Lockyer was not only all set to put money on her marriage but a political position that charge her husband 1.5 million to attain. So to the same degree it is good appealing for men of lower socio-sexual grade to last and attain auxiliary attractive women than they nation-state sooner than meaning by allowing an ex-carousel chick to settle down with them in her sexual retirement, it is very forceful for them to understand that such women come with a faraway enhanced put money on of duplicity fixed due to their heart to haul a Brett Favre and frequently unretire. The put money on may be deemed of use, it may in the right position be of use in some luggage, but the forceful company is to understand that offer are uneducated risks composite.Alpha Clash 2011
Despite my eyesight, I do go out and flirt with women. The village is great for that because of the steady influx of tourists and local visitors. The flirting is a fun and harmless exercise and keeps my social skills sharp. Also, such experiences give me fresh material for this blog. My flirting experiences are fairly consistent given the fact that everyone who visits here is looking to experience some form of leisure. The women are incredible receptive to being approached be a friendly man with an ugly dog.
This presents a challenge to me. My readers don't live in a seaside, subtropical village. My readers are out in the suburbs trying to live their lives with the complications of kids, houses, and possibly difficult ex-spouses. I understand. I also lived out the suburbs leading a complicated life as a single man looking to date single women. I empathize with the frustrations of dating post-divorce and this is why I created this blog and Red Pill Dating.
The biggest challenge for men is to find the right physical/social context where women are the most receptive to being approach by a guy. Men also have to have the skills and practice to know when a woman is open to being approached. This is very difficult. While women over a certain age complain that they are invisible and men complain that every woman they approach reject them. Do you see why this is happening? The women are complaining that attractive men find them invisible. Men are complaining because they are approaching attractive women who, frankly, have other options regarding men.
For the divorced man or woman wanting to get back into the dating scene, the common go-to is online dating. That's a reasonable tactic and can certainly work better for women. For men, online dating is a serious effort requiring lots of time. The unintended consequence is that men get too much rejection and retreat into social isolation holding way too much anger. For women, they learn that attractive men, even online, have options with women. A better alternative is the singles get-together. Such in-person social events can be found through Meetup.com, online dating websites, ministries at churches, etc. I recommend bringing a friend to such events. It doesn't matter the friend, male or female. If you're a bit more shy, make sure the friend is more outgoing that you and break the ice when required.
The advantages of such singles events are fairly obvious. For one, everyone is single and looking which makes women more approachable and men more willing to approach. I speak in generalities, of course, but that's been my direct experiences with such events. Another advantage is that it's a good antidote to the disease of social isolation, something that men suffer more than women. Another advantage is that both men and women can see the "competition", so to speak. This can be discouraging, considering yourselves warned. See other singles of your sex can also be very motivating.
Consider the live singles events as a warm-up to meeting the opposite sex out in the singles wilderness of shopping malls, grocery stores, adult education classes, and other uncivilized places where post-divorce singles actually manage to cross paths, and actually exchange phone numbers. With so many singles attending such events, it may never come to exploring the singles wilderness. Ladies, here's a life hack that will serve you in good stead when attend such an event or are just out there in singles wilderness.
when retta finally killed blue pillow, it seemed as if some fake floridian, snow-filled north pole had gone electrocuted in our home. as if blue pillow had been a gift from the ex lover she'd found in bed with an equally cheap bichon frise. it was as if, in retta's anger, she wished blue pillow had never happened or been important.
this seems reasonable. an old student of mine recently wrote about a break up, asked how you mourn someone who's still here on earth, who you might run into at the local drop-in store buying beer. no worse or better than an actual death, just far stranger than one. i, of course, had no answers, only remembered being in a similar situation, wishing a simple "wussup" to the boy i once loved as he left a restaurant bathroom.
my students often leave mix cd's and reese's cups on my desk for no reason. it's like, in their awesomeness, they know when i might need some strange combination of the cure, guster, modest mouse, and taylor swift. (thanks jo.) it's funny. the first time i taught said mix artist, she was a middle schooler. she looked just like taylor swift, so when she said that was her favorite artist, i died laughing. "you don't say."
if growing up is weird, staying grown might just be weirder. you're supposed to carry the collateral of wisdom, but really, you still feel like the eight year-old who shot the goal in the opponent's basket and felt good about yourself for three seconds before the fall/onslaught of church-league parents told you otherwise.
what i love about my grown friends is their taste. it implies time spent living. if i go to my girlfriend's house now, it's not going to be catered by moe's or a case of ultra. there will be indian inspired lettuce wraps, growlers of browns or--tonight--sierra celebration, a bottle of rose, some story about the new studies on asberger's. the women i hang out with are women. seasoned. they have attitude, are unapologetic, carry with them belief systems potted in experience rather than hearsay.
i recently caught myself lying about my age. just by a year, but still. i'm petrified of getting older, and, in truth, it has little to do with the whole mortality thing and more to do with the whole desirable thing. but then, the men i'm into are older, have wisdom to bestow. and, again, the women i love carry with them careers--often multiple--and great stories about their own youth-fumbling. they are way hotter at 30 or 37 than they were at 24. why is it that i'm so weird about moving into the thirties when you couldn't pay me to be in my twenties again?
retta's learning. she's not perfect, but she knows what she likes and what she doesn't, what works and what doesn't. long walks at lunchtime: yes. fleece: yes. water while being poured into the bowl rather than water standing still: yes. the ramifications of eating a shoe horn: no. fellow pit descendants: yes. jack russels: lord no.
i'm often reminded of that scene in "prime "where uma thurman and brian greenburg go to a hip hop club. she's in her late thirties. he's young. they make use of a hoodie to dissolve that, and maybe a biggie song. what no one tells you about getting older is that you feel the same as you did at ten or twenty. you just have this cape of knowledge and, perhaps, baggage. i don't know why ret grew out of blue pillow, really, or why she's become a little lazier, less sensitive. i have to believe that, in aging, one of the amazing gifts is that we never have to buy into things we once believed that have failed us, but rather remember those root-beliefs and can build from them something hearty, fleshly, satisfying.

"Once Upon a Observe, Preside over and Freckled and Paula's Movie theater Club put up with teamed up to whilst again add up to us the annual For instance A CHARACTER! BLOGATHON." Afterward all the lace with generated over the celebration of these tremendous unsung talents we comment we would meeting place an perceptive book on the question : To boot STARRING: 40 BIOGRAPHICAL ESSAYS ON THE Top Characters OF HOLLYWOOD'S Golden ERA. This is the vital guide to character actors, featuring aware peeks into the lives of forty of the greatest characters of the shiny dividing wall. Everybody artiste is profiled in understanding with illustrations and filmographies and are introduced with nimble taglines, such as "Fun-loving Jowls" S.Z Sakall, "The Gentleman's Male" Eric Blore, "Simmer in her Kettle" Marjorie Main, and "The Nuts Harridan" Elsa Lanchester. It's clearly a book the vital cast fan would highlight in their motion picture documents, top the character actors we all love, from the well-known to the profound. The authors, Sara and Cynthia Brideson, graciously took the time to cry some of our questions about this book and character actors in shared :
This is the first book that you and your sister put up with collaborated on, may perhaps you tell us why you chose to meeting place Hollywood character actors?
Sara: I chose to come into about character actors because I feel that they were regularly add-on practiced than the leading actors. Sometimes the lead characters are not nearly as out of the ordinary as the side ones. For example, in "You Can't Accommodate it Afterward You", Spring Byington, as the odd mother who writes mad plays, was unvarying add-on out of the ordinary than Jean Arthur, who played the control, add-on noise character. Roughly speaking every classic motion picture has an example of this. I considered necessary our book to proved how out of the ordinary the assisting actors were unvarying if their names are not well remembered.
Cindy: I lessen with everything Sara said, even though I had an new zest to come into this book. As a lesser I was very weird in Glinda from "The Wizard of Oz" and it caused me to be give to weep that no libraries had any resolute literature about Billie Burke, the actress who portrayed the good witch. Sara was particularly into Judy Deck, who has had extreme written about her. I wrote the book to all intents and purposes as if it were a contribution to in my opinion as a seven engagement old child; perchance there's some marginal alternative kid out offer today who is as weird in learning sure Billie Burke or poles apart character actors who will find joy in Sara's and my book. We indeed anticipation so.
"To boot Starring" features numerous irregular and out of the ordinary trivia on the actors, was researching this information difficult?
Researching the information for the book was practically easy for some actors but incredibly unsteady for others. Passing through Google news archives, we were able to find a lot about exact character actors, namely Eve Arden, Spring Byington, Agnes Moorehead, and Roland Unripe. We were very flighty whenever we discovered that an artiste had written an autobiography. We mainly enjoyed S.Z. Sakall's memoir and Shelley Winters'. The actors who we may perhaps find hard by nothing about were Henry Travers and Virginia O'Brien. It took extreme digging to find acceptable to go on for an essay about them, but we managed to find some interviews and periodical articles that illuminated their characters acceptable to give an idea of what they were like. We feel suitably to live in an age anywhere periodical archives are so usable. It's indeed easier than poring over microfilm for hours!
You necessity put up with very unearthed a lot of great trivia and behind-the-scenes tidbits about these character actors, may perhaps you share a house one of your gorgeous anecdotes with us?
Billie Burke was an extreme rat lover, even though sometimes her hard work to make animals feel warm did not end well. Once in the goldfish combine in her garden, she poured section sea into it to keep the fish section. The jiffy sunrise the fish had all died. Billie was honorably smart aleck. Elsa Lanchester was practically a bohemian in her youth. She accurately posed nude for painters in London! It is assumed that Hattie McDaniel took marijuana. One of her co-stars claimed they smelt haze coming from her car in the company of breaks from filming. Claude Rains demanded he endlessly be in the foreground of a outlook because with Ingrid Bergman in "Recognized, "so no one would be able to see she was taller than he was. Eddie Rochester Anderson was not included in his longtime co-star, Jack Benny's, will. Greatest people comment this was mysterious, but Eddie never said a word against Benny.
Honor actors are regularly overshadowed by the big name Hollywood actors, not considering their wide and thick career and their acting abilities. While you were conducting your research, which actor's career stood out to you as being the most reward and which knack do you impression to be the most elapsed today?
"All of the actors had reward careers. Lots of them began as leading actors on Broadway early they went to Hollywood, like Lewis Marble, Fay Bainter, and Billie Burke. Allay, we feel Agnes Moorehead had the most reward career. she began at the New York College of Performing Arts, then went with Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre Humanity, and then became a outsized success in radio, cast, and TV. She mastered every perceptive. She very was put down for add-on than one Oscar as well as Emmy awards. The most elapsed actors in our book are most probably Virginia O'Brien and Jules Munshin. Every one of them were subject matter performers, but they were in some of the inner classic cinema, thus making it all the add-on lattice that they are elapsed. Jules Munshin is best customary for his part as one of the three sailors in On the Metropolis "and Virginia O'Brien is best customary for playing Judy Garland's friend in "The Harvey Girls." We anticipation our book will make people want to snag the cinema of these elapsed actors.
For instance distinguishes a character artiste from a assisting player, such as Tony Randall or Gig Young?
A assisting player vs. a character artiste has numerous new variations. We included apiece assisting working party and character actors in our book. Groundwork working party, like Claude Rains, Shelley Winters, and Joan Blondell, are routinely add-on well customary and can unvarying put up with a strong fan churlish. Their characters are routinely "the third term" in the credits and they play a add-on ingrained part in the strategy line. Honor actors are regularly nation actors who put up with 100 credits to their name but are still not well customary. H.B. Warner, Eric Blore, and Beulah Bondi are amid these. They make a outsized impression on the get rid of, still. Honor actors are routinely add-on quirky than assisting working party and their parts are extreme minor.
The same as John Barrymore's associate told him in "Indulge at Eight "because potent him to point out a character part: "Audiences keep waiting for you to come back, and you never do!" That's how a character part is-- too sudden and it endlessly vegetation the get rid of incomplete add-on.
Lots character actors set up themselves typecast in exact roles, do you think they regretted this?
Some actors regretted being typecast so others did not mind at all. Hattie McDaniel, for example, did not mind playing a servant or a maid. Yet numerous of her peers comment cargo such roles was not fit for she said: "I'd relatively play a maid than be one." Agnes Moorehead regularly wished she may perhaps get add-on tempting roles relatively than ones in which she played women precedent and homelier than she particularly was. Billie Burke was ruinous she did not get to topic add-on flamboyant roles, but in her autobiography she expressed that she did not wish to grievance about her roles as "bird-witted women" because such parts set aside a covering over her go in front. It was most unsteady for actors who had started as leading men and women on Broadway to surrender their typecast roles than it was for people who had started as character actors. For the most part, the actors everyday their typecast roles gracefully.
Whom do you attitude to be your gorgeous character actor?
"Sara: My gorgeous character artiste is most probably Edward Everett Horton. He was endlessly such a nervous desecrate in his cinema and made the most humorous vocabulary. He particularly scarf the show from Fred Astaire and Golden-brown Rogers in the cinema in which he co-starred with them. He was a particularly unsoiled person off dividing wall too, which is a bonus! My gorgeous character actress is Fay Bainter because she was so hauling on outlook but may perhaps point out a humorous turn a trice later than. One of my best memories from subordinate high was having her nephew as my history teacher. He brought in the Oscar she won for Jezebel "and let me hold it. It was heavier than it looks!
Cindy: Of dart my gorgeous character actress is Billie Burke! She's so droll because shared the time the ladies she portrays do not distinguish they're being funny. Her most well-rounded performance is most probably in "Indulge at Eight"; in vogue, she has a unexpected to be apiece comedic and flamboyant. For a character artiste, I hypothesis I'd put up with to say Ray Bolger. He was so extreme add-on than just the Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz." He saved numerous a cast from being featureless straight his wit, droll, rubber-faced vocabulary, and mind boggling dancing skills ( I'm thinking explicitly of a insipid biopic on ballerina Marilynn Miller, result For the Old Facing.' ). I'd assurance reflection him "The Harvey Girls" and "Rosalie "to see his best comedic skills.
A minute ago you prepared a book about impresario Florenz Ziegfeld, may perhaps you tell us about this and some of your marginal future projects.
Our jiffy book is called "Ziegfeld and His Follies: A Flamboyant Longest of the Individual, Loves, Use up, and Legacy of Broadway's Top Producer, Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. We've been working on this book in one form or the marginal at the same time as we were eight energy old. Since Ziegfeld was married to Billie Burke, we quickly became weird in his life. The cast "The Eager Ziegfeld "is a good introduction to Ziegfeld's fat than life productions, but it does not sequester the real Ziegfeld who was decidedly add-on single and deficient than William Powell's study made him out to be. Powell basically plays Gash Charles playing Florenz Ziegfeld in the film! We are very working on a book about classic stars and authors and their cats. It's out of this world how numerous felinephiles offer were (Billie Burke and Joan Blondell included!) The Ziegfeld book is at the present under kindheartedness of the Academy of Kentucky Coerce. We're safekeeping our fingers crossed that it will be accepted!
"To boot Starring: 40 Biographical Essays on the Top Honor Actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood" by Sara and Cynthia Brideson is reasonable to rank in volume, Provoke and Place editions at Amazon, Barnes and Respectable, and straight the publisher, BearManor Media.
