Could this reflect some deep seeded stereotypes of women being in the home while men are out hunting and gathering?

Hmmm. Could it be that people who considered themselves physically attractive were the ones to take the full body photos -- which would explain the healthy boost in messages? Think about it.
3. SELFIES
Women who took selfies got an 4% boost in messages while men suffered an 8% drop.
Maybe men are looking for that fun, lighthearted selfie type of girl while ladies want a guy who reflects stability and seriousness?
4. ALONE
You already know that you need to be in your photo ALONE, from this post. But according to the study, that includes not having an animal by your side. I guess you don't want to take the chance of not being the cutest thing in your photo.
5. FINALLY
Here's something really interesting that might make all the difference in the world.
According to the study, the emoticon :-) will get you a 13% increase in replies, but :) results in a mysterious 66% decline.
